First off, has anyone heard mention of any changes to Batting Cameras this year?
From what I have seen from the Streams, Default still seems like Default Catcher. And I have only seen one other, with Ramone using Catcher Classic. And have heard no talk of any new Cameras being added.
One of my biggest problems with The Show is the great number of these low, extreme angle camera views, and the great lack of offsets. Especially the lack of Offsets with a more eye level camera height.
Almost none of the Camera Angles represent a realistic view at a pitch, as if you were actually batting. Because of the extremely low angle, high pitches that you would hope for and your eye should light up on seeing, instead seem impossibly high. Especially if you are using any kind of Zone Hitting at higher difficulties. Aiming up with that view is very unnatural, and just not viable at higher difficulty.
I'd say the Wide camera angle offers the best and most realistic view offered by the selectable camera angles, though even that is a dead on view with no angle on the ball.
To combat this I started dabbling in Custom Cameras after release of MLB 13. I've spent hours and hours trying to find a more realistic view, while still retaining the same look, and more importantly the same view and control of the PCI.
I came up with this about 1 month ago and shared it in the Hitting Tips Thread http://www.operationsports.com/forum...hitting-2.html

Immediately after using this view I increased the Difficulty to Legendary and have not looked back. I'm having way more fun hitting like this, I feel like I'm seeing the ball as it's meant to be seen, and not being handicapped by my view. It gives you such a better look at the pitch as it's coming in. And because of the angle, Pitch Speed is way easier to gauge. Another result of the offset view, is that pitches away actually feel like they are away from you. It makes it a whole lot easier to time hits the other way.
Here is the Camera in Motion:
In all three videos the Camera is never the same, but it's in the same style.

I would really love to see these types of Camera Views introduced next year, or even through patches if possible. I wouldn't even be asking for the devs to add more Cameras, but using your own Custom Camera Universally in all modes is not possible as they are prohibited in Online and Diamond Dynasty. In Diamond Dynasty you are even prohibited from using any Camera but Default Catcher. Obviously this is because they believe that certain camera angles offer an advantage and they want everyone on the same playing field. And in my case this is absolutely true, after using a Custom Camera I went from All-Star to Legendary and have no problems hitting. I would say I actually hit better.
Because of this I will probably never play these modes. Doing so would require me dropping difficulty substantially, therefore throwing off my timing. And I would be stuck with a Camera Angle that imo is absolutely awful and unfun to use.
I think introducing more Camera Angles in this style, would benefit a lot of people, especially those that find hitting hard to begin with. I truly believe changing your Batting Camera is the single biggest thing you can do to improve your offense in The Show. Obviously not everyone will hit better with this kind of camera, but I really think adding more variety to the cameras would improve the game.
As someone who puts hundreds of hours into The Show each and every year this is probably my biggest gripe.
Sorry for the length
