This is a good year to start a fantasy franchise...

I think if anyone is interested in a fantasy draft franchise this would be the best time to start one considering the legend players they have this year, does anyone do a fantasy draft franchise? If so, what are some stragies for drafting? i usually end up with a mediocre team at best whenever i have tried in the past, lol.

Do you have to unlock the legends by collecting a bunch of cards before they are part of your fantasy draft? If you have already started a fantasy franchise and you unlock a legend card, does he get added to the pool of free agents then?

I've been thinking of doing a fantasy franchise this year because I haven't done one since way back on a game with expansion teams. What holds me back is I like having player photos rather than cyber faces on the big screen.

    Atlanta Braves
    - Auburn Tigers - Nashville Predators

You can put legends into your Free agent pool as you enter a Franchise. You don't have to unlock them first. You only have to unlock them for use in DD

I'd love to have the Splendid Splinter playing for the BoSox old cross-town rivals Braves.
Kinda hard to decide what order I'd prefer to pick the Legends, without knowing their age in the Show, but I'll give it a go:

        1 Ted Williams
        2 (tie)Mike Schmidt
        2 (tie)Tom Seaver
        4 Phil Niekro
        5 Al Kaline
        6 George Brett
        7 Nolan Ryan
        8 Rod Carew
        9 Brooks Robinson
        10 Robin Yount
        11 Ozzie Smith
        12 Johnny Bench
        13 Ernie Banks
        14 Andre Dawson
        15 Dave Winfield
        16 Dennis Eckersley
        17 Yogi Berra
        18 Harmon Killebrew
        19 Ralph Kiner
        20 Jeff Bagwell
        21 Edgar Martinez
        22 Orel Hershiser
        23 Kenny Lofton
        24 Will Clark
        25 Fred McGriff
        26 Steve Finley
        27 Joe Carter
        28 Jack McDowell
        29 Cliff Floyd
        30 Dante Bichette
FWIW of current players I'd take Mike Trout as high as #4, because of his age.
That's assuming the Legends are going to be around 27-28-29 years old.

If the legends are 27-29, Nolan Ryan is way too low. You get him as a player for 20 years more.

If those are the guys they're putting in as legends, I can think of a few guys that should be there instead of who they have. Joe Carter over Alomar for Toronto? Bichette over Galarraga or Walker for Colorado? And tell me that's not Hershiser for LA...
