For example, In MLB 12, I was a 3rd baseman for the Brewers. In about year 5 or 6, the team had the Rookie of the Year, a Right Fielder who hit around 30 home runs or so. Then in the start of the next season, he was gone, and I couldn't find him on any team's roster, so he didn't get traded or anything.
Now, most recently in MLB 14, I edited the Cubs roster to include several prospects, including Kris Bryant. I start up RttS as a pitcher, choose the Cubs, and a month or two into the season I decide to check the Cubs roster to see how guys are doing, and no Kris Bryant. Again, searching for the last name Bryant or the first name Kris, he wasn't even in the game anymore. Like he had been deleted. Other edits I had made were still there, though, so I know I used the correct roster.
Have any of you gotten any explanation for this from any of the MLB The Show developers? I could see if they needed to trim rosters, once the free agent pool was full, players could get deleted. But would that happen to top Prospects? Kris Bryant (or whatever name he originally had before my edit), was an A potential, mid-70's rated player and only 23 years old. Doesn't seem right the AI in the game would delete him to make the rosters fit.
