Basically means a store that is not a chain store. Privately owned.

Its funny. 25 years ago, when I was first able to have my own money and buy games, small stores (my mall had two) and Toys R Us were the only way for me to buy NES and SNES games. Unfortunately, there were no pricing controls, and they could sell games for whatever they felt like. I remember paying like $80 for Final Fantasy 3.

Then, there were multiple different gaming store franchises, which was great. Gamestop, EB Games, ect. Plus all the toy stores sold games too. Golden age of trade ins since they all competed with one another. You could sometimes get 75% of original value on a game you were done with.

Today is so sad by comparrison.

Mine just got dropped off in the mail. I'm stuck working until around 11pm.

Fiancé said she would install it for me so I can play when I get home. That's why she's my fiancé haha.

I once pre ordered a game and forgot it was there and it came at 6 pm on release day
