    Anyone play at Default?

Years ago I used to chase sliders and rosters all season long and I would never finish anything. Then I met CountryBoy and we had some great talks about The Show. Now I just install the game and play. I do start a franchise with the OS rosters buy my main franchise is played with the default rosters and I might edit some young prospects if I get motivated. But I no longer chase setting or difficulties.

This year though I am looking forward to Dynamic Difficulty 2.0. I am really intrigued with the changes in this and the ability to lock it in place. But that is all I will use.

    Anybody else just play?

I would assume that the majority of players (those not on OS especially) do this.

Well if there aren't on OS then they probably wont answer anyway?

Ive been playing on Default sliders since '07 . Been having great games with default. I did move up to Hall of Fame difficulty for a bit , but the last 2 years Ive found All Star default for Hitting and Pitching a good fit for me. I may go with HoF hitting and All Star pitching this year though as my hitting has gotten better through the years of playing.

          Re: Anyone play at Default?

I normally never finish any Franchises (the only mode I really play) either. And it's because I always restart for rosters or because I made some trades (even realistic ones) that I don't like anymore.

But this year I do just want to stick with what they've given me. I like to change the difficulty and some of the in-game settings, but last year I decided not to touch any sliders because the game already felt good. My plan is to adjust some in-game settings as usual but just start a Franchise and stick with it Day 1.

Nope. I use All Star for pitching, just up the Starter fatigue a little bit so my pitchers don't tire out at 75 pitches.

For batting, maybe cause I'm getting old, but starting with MLB 12, I had to back down from All Star with slightly easier slider adjustments to Veteran with slightly more difficult slider adjustments. That's how I, personally, get the most realistic experience.

As far as default Rosters, for RttS, yes. Franchise? No way. I'm like you in that I'm always tweaking rosters.

I never touch sliders unless I have to. I want to adjust to the difficulty not adjust the difficulty to me.

I only add some real prospects to each team. I actually like not having every player be real. Its adds something to it for me. I pay more attention to the minor leagues and other teams minors as well.

This past year I actually completed 2 years of a Baltimore Franchise and played both minor leagues as well. I use player lock and/or quick counts for AAA and AA games. But you really have to pay attention to your farm system when you don't know who is in it.

Nope, for a couple of reasons.

                  1. Cpu fielder speed is too fast, takes too many hits away.
                  2. Cpu pitching sliders - Cpu pounds the zone too much with these at default, which leads to not enough balls thrown which in turn leads to not enough walks issued.

I just go with the default sliders for the human skill attributes like contact, power, etc. I do get a general consensus for the AI type sliders like running speed, fielder reaction, etc.

I set my pitching and hitting to Hall of Fame and don't look back. First game out of the box is first ST game. No slider adjustments nor waiting for rosters.

I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

I make very minimal slider tweaks, usually only to CPU Pitching sliders and then go from there. I used Dynamic Difficulty in 2014 and I wound up around All-Star for both hitting and pitching, which is what I typically use, so I'll likely just set the game at that level for both and just play.

                          Default sliders, yes.
Default rosters, not on your life.
I have almost as much fun tweaking rosters as I do playing the game.

Yeah I definitely cannot do default rosters.

I tweak sliders. It is easy to mess with on this game compared to madden or nba 2k where are millions of combinations lol. I always put fielding reaction and run speed down to 2 or 3 and change the pitch speed.
