With directional I think basically you aim where you want to hit the ball. Left or right. Then up or down for fly ball or ground ball.
what you need to know is directional hitting is somewhat reliant on where the pitch is just like zone. Ie.. it's hard to pull an outside pitch. It's hard to hit a grounder on a high pitch.

As far as zone I personally like it better. My best advice is to select a location where you think a pitch is going to be and don't swing if it's elsewhere. Work the count. Getting in a hitters count like 2-1 3-1 your going to get a good pitch to hit. Probably a fastball over tge plate on 3-1 or 3-0. Also over time you learn how the cpu is going to pitch you. Ie. The cpu always throws pitches up on votto I've noticed. I've also noticed that I get alot of pitches low to encarnacion. over time you'll notice cpu trends when it comes to pitching.

To be honest I hit just as many home runs with normal swing so I barely use the power swing. The only time I really use it is with a power hitter and I managed to get into a 3-0 count. In that case I leave the pci in the middle look for a fastball and let the power swing fly.

This might be a stupid question, but I play as the Yankees, and so far I've noticed that they are they only team in the game that the 1st and 3rd base coaches are wearing high socks? Why was this done and is there any way to change it? The Yankees coaches DO NOT wear high scocks in real life! For some reason, it really bothers me, lol.

I've never played the show and I'm thinking about purchasing this year for my baseball fix. I did have a question for you guys who already have the game. I know they have a couple of options in regards to pitching.

I used to play High Heat and loved how simple their pitching interface was, after you select your pitch you would simply hold the button and the longer you held it the more velocity your pitch had on it, but the longer you held the button the less control you had on the pitch and the more likely it was to be a ball.

Does the show offer an option as simple as that for pitching without the visual meters and such? Any assistance you guys could offer would be greatly appreciated.

Classic pitching is the same system, select pitch, select where you want it to land and then the longer you hold the button the more velocity but less control.

Yep, just looked it up on the interwebs. Thanks for the answer any way Ripner. I guess I'll be joining all of you guys who love this game so much, I'd imagine I'll feel the same.

Is there a way to view the opposing pitcher's speed of pitches in his repertoire? I remember it was possible in MLB 14 Show, however, I'm not sure how to do so in 15. IIRC, holding up on the D-Pad allows you to view the speed of pitches of relievers in the bullpen, but not the guy on the mound.

Anyone had the radio show give the wrong stats? Was listening to it after my playoff game and it said Adam Warren had 12 K's. He actually had 0.

What's up fellas/ladies... This question is for the experienced OF's. I'm new to the OF in '15 when there's a situation where I can climb the wall and the circular targets appear, when do I press the jump button? I've had a few of these but cant seem to figure out what to do. Thanks in advance.

I use player lock in my franchise and I noticed my team is not stealing any bases I think had like 4 I'm 2 full seasons. Anyone else see this or no the problem?
