For the Cubs fans wondering. I can confirm the Ivy is dynamic and changes month to month as it did before.Comment

Re: MLB 15: The Show Q & A Thread
I had Sims last year where Beltran went from and 89 to 85 and others where he went from a 89 to a 77. It was dynamic. There was no clear linear path. I had posts last year where I compared 3 different Sims 10 years into the future and ratings of players.

Re: MLB 15: The Show Q & A Thread
Can someone please check if Mookie Betts has his own stance this year? And also, I have 2 questions about carry over franchises:
1. When carrying over, do face scans/stances/equipment update? For example, I had Betts in my osfm roster who was created with obviously no scan and no custom stance..does it automatically update his scan and licensed equipment?
2. When you carry over to 15 from 14 can you still play the franchise in 14?
Thanks a lot!Comment

Re: MLB 15: The Show Q & A Thread
1. Betts will update if the created version of him you used in 14 was the SCEA version that was added through the roster update (Doesn't matter if you edited his face or not it just has to be the SCEA version they added). If he was created using the create player feature or some random minor leaguer then he does not update, He stays a CAP. Otherwise he will update in MLB 15. What I mean by update is the CAP version of him gets replaced with the New SCEA version in 15. this is when using Y2Y saves. Can someone please check if Mookie Betts has his own stance this year? 2. I'm assuming you mean the 14 schedule? Then yes.Last edited by ShowTyme15; 03-29-2015, 08:36 PM.Comment

Re: MLB 15: The Show Q & A Thread
From watching streams it looks like Betts has his own stance. It's a unique looking one so I'm assuming it's his own.Can someone please check if Mookie Betts has his own stance this year? And also, I have 2 questions about carry over franchises:

1. Scans/stances/equipment update for SCEA created players only. So if you used Betts from the OSFM roster you won't get the scan/stance/equipment for himComment

Re: MLB 15: The Show Q & A Thread
From what I've seen MattyIce, I believe there are 3 different shoe brands this year. For each brand, there are 2 or 3 different Styles. For each Style, there are several parts of the shoe color that you can edit, like when editing Generic shoes in previous yearsComment

Re: MLB 15: The Show Q & A Thread
Right, I was wondering specifically with this shoe, the Nike Air Max MVP Elite, if we were able to edit those specific parts of the shoe. One thing in NBA 2k that I always noticed was that the shoe editing parts didn't always match up and you couldn't always create realistic colorways. Although this year I had the most fun I've ever had editing shoes. Hoping for a similar experience with this game as wellComment

Re: MLB 15: The Show Q & A Thread
I'm still trying to wrap my head around it all because I only used analog hitting last year. What are the differences exactly between directional and zone hitting? I couldn't find a video from Ramone so I would like a bit more clarity.www.simchampions.com

Re: MLB 15: The Show Q & A Thread
Zone: You move the left stick to the location where the ball is. The closer your PCI is to the location of the pitch the better contact you make. Swinging late/early affects whether you push or pull the ball.
Directional: You do not have a PCI. You move the left stick and push towards any part of the strikezone. This is the direction you want to influence the ball. So if you want to hit the ball to RF, you would move your left stick to the right. But say you're a RH batter and you try to pull the ball to LF. You'll make weaker contact if the pitch is on the outside of the plate. If you don't influence in any direction it acts as Timing hitting did last year.
Here are the devs explaining it.
