Guy sell MLB 15 The Show for $480 on EBay!

Wow some idiot just spent $480 on EBay for MLB 15 The Show PS4 to get it before release. Shipper said he will get Friday. So he gets to play it 4 days early for only $400 extra! Must be nice having a huge bankroll!

While I would never spend that much money on a game, calling him an idiot just because you disagree with him is not cool bro

Its all relative, while $480 may seem like a lot to most this person may be fortunate and have a ton of cash and the $480 to him is like $60 to us.

If I was making $1,000 and hour 24/7, I'd pay $500 for a game 4 days early. At least with the Show.

I actually disagree with relativity when it comes to money and value.

Whether or not I have 5 billion dollars or 60 dollars, the point is the market value is in no way $420 for the game.

Sure for a multi billionaire he probably doesn't care cause it's pocket change to him, but either way he overspent by an incredible margin.

Me too! Lol, now I don't feel bad paying $160 for 6 days before! Heck, you're talking to a guy who bought the 20th anny ps4 for $1125, just to hold on to it until there's none left, then cash in!!

It's not the buyer I am curious about, it's the seller. I don't understand how this happens where people get their hands on copies of a game that has not been released. Obviously physical copies have been sent out to the retailers, so they do exist. But isn't there some kind of rule (don't want to call it a law) which is being broken where people are selling the game prior to the release date? Clearly there are retailers out there who decided to profit by selling some of their copies to the highest bidder. There are obviously much bigger issues in the world than this, so in the grand scheme of things, it really does not matter to me. But I still find it weird how this always happens.

I guess in a way, it's like selling bootleg dvd's, before the movies out. I've bought most of the Harry Potter dvd's before they came out, especially the first one!! There's a rule on that, and it always gets broken.

I find this to be ridiculous. Just because you can overspend to buy the game early does not mean that you should. Rich people tend to stay rich by not overspending especially paying more than the product is worth. Haha. Oh well. To each his own.

I sold 4 copies of Black Ops 2 and made $3800 a couple years back. 1 guy paid me $500 for the PS3 copy and the next day paid me $1800 for the Xbox 360 version. Sold another for $500 and the last guy gave me $1000 for my opened copy on Xbox 360. Grant it I had the game 12 days early.

                        Everyone values $$$ differently.

Forgot to add I will sell my copy of MLB 15 The Show for $1000. I will even cut you a deal and offer free overnight shipping.

It is NOT like bootleg DVD's. The term Bootleg would indicate (in most scenarios) an illegal copy, one that wasn't distributed by the publisher. These are legitimate copies of the game that came from the publisher, with the intent to be sold.

The only issue I would have with people getting the game early is if they stole it from the retailer that had it in stock early, or smuggled it out of a shipping facility or something like that. If the folks that got the game either acquired it as a gift or through legitimate connections from SCEA/Sony San Diego, or physically purchased a copy from a retailer early because they were an employee or something, I have no issues with that.

It has nothing to do with market value. If it did the game would still be sitting there. People who have money throw it at things they want.

It has all to do with market value.

Whether or not you make $1,000,000 per year or $20,000 per year, $400+ is way above market value so you are far, far overpaying.

Again it might not dent the former's wallet at all, but the bottom line is he is still overpaying.

Whether or not rich people throw money at whatever they want has nothing to do with value.

Think about it this way. I have 10 dollars and you have 5. We both want this computer that at market value costs $.05. Let's say I paid $2 for it but you paid the market value $.05.. I overpaid because I paid far above market value. Whether or not it's worth it to me is irrelevant when talking about overpaying.
