    Interesting batting camera

Have any of you ever tried using this batting camera? Like you were in the box and playing? (Being a ball player myself I wanted to try this out) and honestly, I see the ball better than I ever have and I lay off much more close pitches than I used to because I have it in my mind already of what is a strike and ball from RL playing. AND I hit two HR's in my first game trying this. I think I may keep it going into 15.. haven't decided yet.

I was playing with that camera view for a few months this year, just to switch it up. I like it, kind of made the game feel new in a way.

Yeah, it was sweet. Different.. had to get used to it... but once I started seeing pitches, it was easier to lay off the close ones.. I was laying off pitches I saw were balls, I'd normally swing at with the default catcher view.

I set it like that sometimes a few years ago when you could play the game in 3D. It was a fun view in 3D.

Ah man at bat this game was perfect for 3d! Too bad it was discontinued.

            Re: Interesting batting camera

I posted this style camera a few years back. It's a great custom cam. Supposedly it helped inspire the E. Zoom Catcher cam we have today.

                from watching the streams.
what is the camera behind the catcher that actually shows the flight of the ball before switching to fielding view.? so you know where you hit it.
looks awesome and is that new for 2015??

I assume custom camera views still cannot be used for online games.

They should add a cam view that replicates what it looks like if you are really hitting from both right and left side. Sort os a first person view thing.

I was just about to type a post regarding this. If SCEA can make a camera view that's like out of the batters eyes and in front of him (instead of behind and at the top of the strike zone at best) would be awesome.

all i want is a camera where i can tell where the ball is going.
for next year i hope they just add a batting/pitching camera where you can see the flight of the ball after contact from behind the pitcher.

that why those that have an issue of fielding with it dont have to use that camera.

I gotta tell you. Catcher Zoom 3 is pretty awesome. I started using that yesterday....I am in love with it now. I can see the ball so well from that angle. Not chasing those low and low and away pitches nearly as much.

                          It's a revelation!!

Thanks for the ideas for batting cameras, but I have to ask the obvious question:

What do you think is the best PITCHING camera?

Personally, I just use "Pitcher," but I'd like to know yours, including custom camera angles.

(And why don't other sports games allow custom camera angles?)

Tried some of these up close batting cameras for the first time the other day. Definitely helped me lay off more pitches than usual, but I think I like seeing more of the surrounding area - so I don't know if I'll use it much in the future.
