what is the camera behind the catcher that actually shows the flight of the ball before switching to fielding view.? so you know where you hit it.
looks awesome and is that new for 2015??
I think you're talking about the Dynamic camera for both offense and defense. This was added last year.

First person would be a pretty cool option. Especially if the game ever got Morpheus integration.

Personally, I just use "Pitcher," but I'd like to know yours, including custom camera angles.

(And why don't other sports games allow custom camera angles?)

For me it is Broadcast. I love the behind the pitcher view big time. I love how it is actually based on the broadcast angle unique to each park. Makes the game feel like an authentic TV broadcast.

And now that I am using Catcher Zoom 3 (I also like 1 and 2 as well BTW so trying all 3 right now) I have that feeling of being up at the plate when I hit. So I get two different flavors when batting and pitching.

You can use it on defense and offense. But that camera only pops into play once the ball is hit.

What I do, is I have it set to Dynamic when I am on defense (I feel I have a good view of the field and can judge the height of the ball better when making a play) and I use broadcast when I am on offense. I like the way broadcast looks after I get a hit and since I don't have to make a play, I use that.

As for my pitching camera, I like broadcast as well because I find the individual stadium's camera positions to be an awesome feature. I've yet to this day settled on a batting camera... I try so many, and never find myself satisfied. I tend to always go back to Offset because I like the way it makes the ballpark look from home plate.

AND I hit two HR's in my first game trying this. I think I may keep it going into 15.. haven't decided yet.
I did exactly that in 14... Tried many angles etc...
WIth this years improvement on breaks etc... should be even better with that angle

This is really the only view I use myself. Playing baseball since I was 3, this is the most realistic I can get to the actual diamond, I read pitches better, and I also have better plate patience.

                  Re: Interesting batting camera

After playing this game for 4 cycles now, I learned something about so vital to choosing the best cameras....

When you are struggling to hit, switching to a new camera is golden. It's not always that the camera that's great but a new angle refocuses your eye to see the ball "longer" and you will MOST of the time start getting better contact again

Just a little tid bit from my experience. I find myself switching between default, e catcher zoom, and my custom camera through a whole season. Maybe even a game

                        Please bear with me
Need help with this dilemma. i have playing a few pals in a MLBtournament person to person for several years however I believe one of them is going to use an unfair advantage which he never did before. While I'm using the default camera when hitting , he wants to use a catcher zoom( 3 I believe). As many know and others pointed out, using the camera that only shows the strike zone(zoom cameras)helps the user way much better to judge pitches. meaning laying-off bad pitches will be simpler. My problem with this is that while he sees the ball better, I won't and others wont.

For the years the tournament took place, we all used one of the regular cameras not the zoom ones, so we could fairly see who's better. Do you guys believe I'm correct that he will have an advantage (the person to person tournament) using that zoom camera while I and others don't?
