Re: Future Schedules in Franchise
I don't know why this is such a mystery. All they need to do is look back in the past versus thinking they need to look forward into the future. We know the schedule of the last 3 years, or the last 6 years, or 9 or 12 years or even the last 15 years. Depending on how far you wanted to go back, store the schedules from let's say the last 3 to 15 years in a flat file (as long as it is a multiple of three). Index everything by the days of the week (0 for Monday through 6 for Sunday) so that Monday's games in the 3rd week of a given month are always Monday's games the 3rd week of a given month every year, and so on and so forth for as many years as you want to play your franchise. Then the calendar is a simple day index that gets incremented every day. It would probably only take about 30 minutes to write the code. Seriously, this is a rather simple coding solution. Inputting the schedule for the last X number of years into the flat file would take of course more than 30 minutes, but no more than a few days effort.Last edited by My993C2; 03-28-2015, 01:49 AM.Comment

Re: Future Schedules in Franchise
I have 2 save files for my RTTS player. One saved at the very end of the 2014 season and the other save is my player in the 2015 season. Stinks I have to use the first save file and ignore my progress into 2015. My player is playing great heading into June. Guess it is a good thing I saved a file from the end of the 2014 season.Comment

Re: Future Schedules in Franchise
I was really hoping this was fixed this year. I can live with it, I would just like to see some different stadiums from year to year. I only play franchise with the Yankees.Comment

Re: Future Schedules in Franchise
Have I really just played through nearly 3 seasons and not realized it's the same schedule? Well, I suppose you could always select a different stadium to play in even if you're playing the same teams over and over. This seems like a problem this development team should have solved by now.Comment

Re: Future Schedules in Franchise
Wait, just to clarify, I'm currently in 2016 in my MLB 14 franchise. When I carry over my save to 15 am I going to have the same schedule for the entirety of my franchise?! Or will it now switch to a new schedule for 2017 when I switch to MLB 15...Comment

Re: Future Schedules in Franchise
Whatever current schedule you have in 14 that you carryover to 15 will stick. The schedule will rotate, but interleague opponents stay the same. Does that make sense?Comment

Honestly, I don't even remember the last time interleague schedule rotated in MLB The Show. It's been a while man.Comment

Re: Future Schedules in Franchise
Sort of related to the whole schedule thing...in the LCS and World Series, do games on the west coast start at 5 PM Pacific Time in '15? It always bugged me that playoff games on the west coast would start at 7pm in the dark where they should start at 5pm in the late afternoon/early evening.Comment
