Why so hostile.
I'm going digital but really don't care if anyone else does or not. Being able to change games without disk removal is great for me.Former Bison, Argonaut, TSN and Sportsnet employee.

re: Digital Download Discussion
The point is that you are unfairly discounting the advantages of getting the digital version versus the physical version.
Definitely odd how getting it 1 day early is worth the 1 year wear & tear on your console from playing that CD over and over.. Not to mention switching the cd out if you own more than 1 game. Yeah totally worth it.
meanwhile the digital is playable at midnight and pre-loadable 2 days before. What more do you need?
The only thing it doesn't do is serve you tea in bed, but I hear they're working on that.
It really comes down to personal preference and it's really not fair to make it a debate about those who choose one method over the other.
I went digital last year and physical this year. We are all getting the game one way or the other. Don't really see the need debate one way being superior to the other.
Nice picture, shows your maturity level.
The color of our name doesn't matter. When we are posting we are posting as users of the site. Doesn't matter if we're mods or not. We are treated the same and are expected to treat all users with the same respect.
Not really sure why that was hostile and I'm sorry if you took it as such.
The post I quoted gave vague reasons why going physical might be an advantage and I gave a pretty clear reason why it would be a big advantage.
If I'm paying the same price for the game and could get it a day early would you disagree that it's not a disadvantage to going digital?Comment

Don't know which one was started 1st, but I don't really see why we need 2 (or more) of these disc vs. digital existential dilemma threads going on at the same time.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

re: Digital Download Discussion
Which ever way gets me the game installed and running on my PS4 sooner is the method I choose for buying the game. If I knew I could get the game earlier by buying a physical CD copy if it, then you better believe I would be buying a physical copy. But since nobody around me where I live will be able to sell the physical CD version of the game until 10 am on the 31st whereas I should be able to be playing the game 12 hours sooner (already installed on my console and no need to waste time or gas driving to and from the stores where the game is sold, it's a digital copy for me this year. Of course if something should go wrong with the digital version, like the PSN being down or something and the game remained locked on my console. Well needless to say, I would not be happy with my choice and would be questioning "Why didn't I just drive to the dang store". LOLComment

re: Digital Download Discussion
Well, what I was trying to get at was ... (And bare with my analogy, anyone who's ever worked retail will get it).... but yes, treat others fairly and respectfully no matter who they are, but it's like when a district manager or VP comes in for a store walk. Everyone gets so uptight and things are done just right, no mistakes, very friendly... etc. I guess what I'm trying to get at is everyone here needs to be treated with respect, but the green, purple and red guys are like the managers who can slap sanctions down, and who "shouldn't be crossed" if you will. It's like joke around and be sarcastic, but there's just some people you dont do that with. ok I'm done.

Haha, the year Brett Farve was on the cover of Madden, I took the cover insert out of the case because he was in a Jets uniform.I'm digitally downloading it (simply cause there's no way anything Dodgers can be in my room) my question is for it to fully pre load and be able to play at 9pm PST on 3/30 will it fully install in rest mode or does my console have to be on?
I've had a game where it will download in rest mode but wouldn't fully install until I had my console fully on. I believe it was Madden

Those colored names are not our managers or bosses, everyone should be equal no matter what color you are/name, if the colored names cant take sarcasm well then thats just silly

Ugh, I didn't mean that literally. What I meant was the colored names have authority to suspend, ban, etc... It's just not prudent to to be smarmy towards them. This was blown up out of context and such... lets let it go..Comment

Is there a certain date that preorders have to be in by to get the skinit, stubs, themes and packs? Or can I preorder off of PSN today and will still receive the skinit, stubs, packs and themes?Comment
