It was this version that I got my very first ever hit in the major leagues in RTTS. A liner over the 3rd baseman and into the corner at Minute Maid Park. I was a 2nd baseman for the Astros and got pulled up mid-season for their playoff run. Ended up doing a full career. I'll never forget how pumped I was and the reaction from the crowd. I've always loved this series.. even when it was made by 989 Sports!

I'm actually going to recreate this (2B for the Astros) this year as a tribute. Being the 10th Anni and all. So excited.

Obviously the graphics on the PS2 are inferior. But I am impressed with the pre-game presentation that they used. In fact I think the pre-game presentation of this 10 year old game might be a tad better than the modern pre-game presentation.

I like the camera panning around the stadium,would look great with the detail of the stadiums now.

Who would of thought that those were the graphics for 2006 lol. I forgot what year I started play mlb the show but I did remember saying damn this is too hard and too realistic lol lol

I still own both this game and a special Cubs hat with the Show 06 logo that I got as some kind of bonus (don't remember if it was a preorder bonus or a mail-in thing). I wore that hat when I went to Community day for '10.
