I go digital with anything, so far I haven't bought 1 disc for ps4. Im debating going with the disc just because Target is running a buy 1 get 1 50% promo that MLB 15 is a part of.

I chose to pre order digitally this year.. When I go to my library on my Ps4 it has a countdown to 12:00 am March 31.... Is the game pre downloading already or do I have to start downloading it somehow? I want to play as soon as I can.

Pre loading is set to start today at some point. You can set auto downliad on your ps4 by going into your library and highlightING the game. There should be a check box for auto download there. Check it and keep your ps4 in rest mode. It should download automatically. I would log into your ps4 throughout the day to make sure the download has started.

Once the game downloads, all you have to do is wait till 12am Et on 3/31 for the game to unlock.

I'm in the same boat.

Although, I know I'm going to play The Show up until the next year's game is released, so the question of digital vs. physical is kind of irrelevant for me. It really only has an effect on how many times I have to get up off the couch or the handful of time that I may have brought the game to a friends house.

Can anyone see the countdown timer on PSN? Whenever I try and search MLB The Show and click on it I get "This content can not be selected at this time"

Do people really not sell there sports games? If i didnt sell mine i'd have 30 baseball games 20 football games and 25 basketball games along with 15 golf games and so on, i dont undestand?

I rarely hang on to them for more than a year. Selling them other than as a trade in to EBGames is not really an option. I couldn't be bothered trying to Ebay or Kijiji or Craigs List ad to make a max of 10 bucks for an old sports game.

But its not like you get value from EB or Gamestop....usually 5 or 6 bucks in trade in value.

Based on that and the fact I bought a hybrid HD drive from launch for my PS4 I'm going digital for most sports games that I play a lot from here on out. Saves having to change disks and you still own it forever so you can delete it and re-download it in the future if you wanted to.

I sell my copy of MLB (and used to be 2k) every year when spring training for the next year starts for $18.39 on ebay. Lol, its my baseball tradition.

There shouldn't be - once the game is fully installed the only time the disc spins is when you first start it up (to confirm that it's in there). Everything else is installed to and runs from the hard drive.

I gotta be honest, to see that taking literally 10 seconds to switch out a disc being considered such a hassle for some people is quite unbelievable, in my opinion.

I always go with the disc. Main reason being is that I have a display for all the games I've purchased for each console and it's sort of cool to look over on my shelf and see the games I've bought throughout the years. There's just something about owning a case and all, seeing the cover art etc. It just feels right.

Another reason being is that I have a friend and a cousin who have extremely poor internet connection. They're big baseball fans and I always bring The Show over to their house and play.

I don't care if its 1999, 2015, or even 2033...I have nothing against digital download, but it just doesn't feel right to me.

Why? Game sharing makes it worth it plus it is tax free (which saves you 5 dollars anyways). Not to mention you can be playing it right at midnight, while others have to wait.

I wish more people would buy digital and stop trading in their games to gamestop. We need to support the publishers and buying the game digitally helps them out more.

Game sharing only makes it worth it if you are game sharing. And not everyone is doing that. Especially since its against the rules and you are screwed if Sony decided to do something about it.
