Re: Official uniform errors and omissions 2015 edition
Now the Cubs throwbacks are even worse! Here's the home throwbacks in the game:

Here they are in real life, at least for the 80s:

You could also put the lettering like it is for their current jerseys and just say they're from 1993. But they've never had red lettering on their pinstriped jerseys:

And now they removed the names from the back of the road jerseys when they ought to be there. The funny part is, they had them right in 13 and 14:

Maybe this is just the World War 2 reenactor in me; we can tell if someone is wearing a uniform from 1944 when we're supposed to be depicting 1939. We can tell colors and all that. This game is otherwise fantastic, but I'd be using these all the time if they were correct. Like the Brewers alts finally are.
The fact that the game is otherwise awesome makes me want these uniforms correct even more. I'll conclude by saying that I hope we get another throwback other than a plain white jersey for next year. Maybe 1994?

They need to get all the jerseys right, hands downComment

Re: Official uniform errors and omissions 2015 edition
Apparently, the Rockies have their purple sleeves fixed, but the underside of the sleeves of the black jersey is still purple. Also, there is purple piping on the outer edge of the sleeves. Does anyone know if this is a mistake or not, as the sleeves worn underneath the vests last year were completely black in real life.Comment

Yea its a mistake...seems like they just copied the sleeves on the bp jerseys. Even with the changes they made to uniforms alot of mistakes are still there.Apparently, the Rockies have their purple sleeves fixed, but the underside of the sleeves of the black jersey is still purple. The White Sox 1983 throwbacks have buttons on them. They are like t shirts in real life.

Same with Pirates Retro Sunday Jersey, they should be pull over with no buttons. Also the waist for the Pirates is elastic and shouldn't be a belt.Comment

I'm a uniform guy, as well. Really impressed with the improvements to graphics and gameplay this year, and the level of detail that went into it, but the uniform errors continue to frustrate me. If fact, they seem to actually get worse from year to year based on the comments in this thread. And I agree - would love to see those 1994 road grays in the game at some point. Those were one of my all-time favs. I think they were only worn for two season - the 94 and 95 strike shortened seasons. Now the Cubs throwbacks are even worse! Here's the home throwbacks in the game:

Re: Official uniform errors and omissions 2015 edition
The second set of gray pants with just the blue stripe are correct in the game. They added that pair (to be worn with the blue jerseys) in 2013. The gray pants with the red and blue stripes are worn with the gray jerseys.
I'm not sure what the plans are for the red military jersey. They wore them a handful of times last season. They wore the alternate cap (the A with the tomahawk logo) with them the first few times then ditched that cap later in the season. So I think that alternate cap is gone, as it is in the game.
Edit: FWIW, both the red military jersey and the cap with the alternate logo are still available at full price on the Braves team store site.Last edited by LowerWolf; 04-02-2015, 02:33 PM.Comment

Re: Official uniform errors and omissions 2015 edition
They were worn from 1994-1996, although the 1994 had that gold anniversary patch on the sleeve. It'd be cool to see the 1992 jerseys or something, but they look too similar to the current ones to justify using a slot for. I think it's good to have jerseys from the '80s or '90s because that's what most of us playing are going to remember. There aren't going to be too many grandpas playing this who clamor for the 1953 jerseys.I'm a uniform guy, as well. Of course, anything is better than plain white and grey jerseys. What a waste of a slot!Would the lady who left her nine kids at Wrigley Field please pick them up immediately? They are beating the Cubs 4-0 in the 7th inning!Comment

Re: Official uniform errors and omissions 2015 edition
The Padres old throwbacks, which are the 1978 uniforms, should have the players names on the back. They got the All-Star Game patch on the sleeve detail, but missed on the names. Maybe next year. Or, maybe they can give us a new set, like the 1998 blue and orange set.Comment

Re: Official uniform errors and omissions 2015 edition
To me, this is the most frustrating part of MLB the Show. Every year, they improve the game in a multitude of ways, except with the uniforms. I can see missed piping or part of a sleeve, but entire current uniform sets, I don't get. Who was surveyed on this by the way? Just franchise player or online player?
Go to Uni-Watch and read what the author says and click on the links. He tells you what the teams will do and gives photos showing it. I don't understand how other professional sports games get all the current uniforms in, even if they have to patch them, whereas The Show usually won't do it. Mindboggling. Part of the authenticity of a game is the uniform, socks, belts, etc.
In one of the Twitch streams before the game was released, one of the artists was talking about shadows under the eyes of players. Very detailed and one of the things that makes The Show great. But something as glaring as accurate uniforms is omitted every year.Comment

The only time I can ever remember the show patching a uniform after release was when the Braves were going to bring back the Indian head on a bp hat, got flack, changed them, then the game overwrite it.To me, this is the most frustrating part of MLB the Show.
