    My very first at bat with the new game...

    I struck out after a check swing on a curve ball in the dirt. No big deal, except it was strike two.

                      Any chance you didn't install the day one update? I know ramone said to turn off check swing appeal until the update was out.

                          I just struck out on a check swing too. 1-1 pitch, dropped by the catcher and thrown out at first. I definitely have the update.

                              No, this isn't a glitch, SCEA is just ahead of the MLB in terms of rule changes that will speed up games.

                                  The bug still appears to be in the game, with a strike 2 ball in the dirt the AI thinks it is a strike 3 situation having to throw the runner out.

                                      That stinks because I'm notorious for swinging crap in the dirt early in the count!

                                          It is a nasty bug because it can change the complexity of the game. I don't know if it happens every time in that situation but I experienced it last night. I have to play more to see the pattern of it. I am not sure if it affects the CPU as well.
