What, the Angels? Hector Santiago is my best guess, the Angels aren't really a team that strikes me to have a lot of pitching depth they can deal.

I'm 14-12 and while I'm holding my own this deficiency in the rotation is going to bury me eventually unless I do something about it. Any recommendations who I should try to pick up? The only guy on the block who interests me is Brandon Mccarthy, he's 4-0 with a sub 2 ERA and I don't think the Dodgers should trade him at that clip.

In that case, who do you think I should target? I need another starter. I would prefer more of a #2 or 3 then a back of the rotation type of guy.

Are any of Sonny Gray, Chris Archer, or Julio Teheran possible to get if the Cubs overpaid? If so, what kind of package would the Cubs have to give up to get any of those 3? Just looking at options for when OSFM is released.

I would normally say no to Gray. But with the trades Billy Beane is making, a trade seems plausible. Billy would love a reunion with Addison...

                  Archer could be dealt.

Teheran might stay put. But again, it's John Hart, so there is a chance.

Define overpaid. Kris Bryant overpaid or Russell, Alcantara +? Guessing you mean the second one. I feel Julio Tehran might be able to get. But it would have to be something like Almora, Edwards+

Yeah, I wouldn't give up Bryant. To be honest I wouldn't give up Soler or Russell either (maybe for Teheran, but probably not). I would strongly consider Almora, Edwards +. You thinking the + would be a guy like Eloy Jimenez or Gleyber Torres, or more like Schwarber?

I never thought Teheran would be available a couple months ago, but I think they would consider moving him for the right deal.

Yea it would be lower top 30 prospects. So guys like Jimenez because I looked and they don't have many IFs that fill needs for the Braves. I mean you could also trade Castro, instead of a Soler or Russell.if you think he can play 2nd.

Yeah, I would like to keep Castro if possible, but I would trade Castro before Russell.

You think Almora + Edwards + Jimenez is a pretty fair deal for Teheran? I would even throw McKinney in there. Cubs have so much depth in prospects if I can keep the top guys I have no problem overpaying in quantity.

I think it would be more than that. But don't know exactly what. Because he is on a cheap long-term contract and is still in his mid 20's.

In all of those deals at least 1 of Bryant, Russell, Baez, Soler, or Castro has to be present.

Edwards and Almora is a start but there needs to be more. Both are top 10 prospects in the system Almora at 6 and Edwards at 4. According to mlb. They are both top 10 products on other lists as well.
