Can we still edit the appearance of fictional players in Fanchise mode?
For some reason I can't edit anything but the fear of fictional players in franchise mode. Last year I was able to edit their appearance and even the stats if I wanted to. Did they take that out this year by any chance?

Would they be able to patch this in? And would you have to restart your franchise to then have this feature fixed? or would it simply just update in on going franchises?

Hard to tell, most time they say patch works with existing franchises, but personally I never trust them and always wait till patches are all out before starting. Im probably just paranoid because of how poor things are done by the NBA2k devs and Madden devs, that I don trust MLBTS patches to not cause issues in preexisting franchises, because MLBTS devs have always been pretty darn good at getting stuff right.
I would say it will probably work in your existing chise, but don't hold me too it, as I would hate to see someone end up having to restart, I know I always hate restarting and why I have just go to the point where I wait it out.Everyone who exalts themselves will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted- Luke14-11

Re: Can we still edit the appearance of fictional players in Fanchise mode?
I am NOT happy about at all rather then spend 2 months getting a roster how I want it I like to play a few games while I play with rosters, now we can't change skin colours or hair or facial hair but the silly thing is that we can change face shape with the left stick options, we cant even move the bars it's all locked
please let this be fixed! id rather have be able to change guys skin tone and hair then equipment w we could get word from SCEA for sure I will NOT be happy if they wont fix this till 2016 or it was just locked on purposeComment

Re: Can we still edit the appearance of fictional players in Fanchise mode?
It's definitely not by design. I think some of the wrong things got locked in the editor and it just was never realized.
I definitely hope they can change it via a patch.

Re: Can we still edit the appearance of fictional players in Fanchise mode?
I successfully exported about a dozen 2015 rookies from a MLB 14 OFSM Hybrid roster (guys like Kris Bryant) and then imported them into a MLB 15 roster from SCEA to start my MLB 2015 Season. That all went well. But I modified the appearance of a couple of these rookies while still in the MLB 14 Franchise (I made the Diamondback's 3B Tomas too fat, and Rockies pitcher Jon Gray's hair is too short). However now inside of my MLB 15 Season, I can not modify either one of these two players (nor can I modify any of the other imported rookies). I am assuming the problems seen by the OP of this thread and my problem are related.
PS: I was also unable to edit the MLB 14 injured players who were migrated into the generic players and gave up the idea of trying to export/import them as it appeared to be too much work at the time since many of the injured players I had identified were not even going to be on the various real world 25-man opening day rosters.Comment

Re: Can we still edit the appearance of fictional players in Fanchise mode?
fingers crossed a patch fixes this!
along with the usual teams having locked colour options on their cleats - if i recall (in a later stream) - Ramone stated this year that was taken out so the user had free reign for once
helmet style unlocked would also be nice
on knees begging for this to be 'fixed' in a patch if possible
