Patches are for big fixes and beside that we aren't changing this. A poll with 50 people is in no way a snapshot of the entire user base sentiment.

If you choose Fast Play, there's no option to have HR Celebrations, is there?

Re: Fast Play Vs Broadcast Mode

I kove broadcast BUT...we NEED the option to turn off auto replays. Or an option for them to rarely occur.

The way it is now if you don't hit x before an auto replay starts, you get no batter walkup. Even if you hit x during the replay. I don't remember it being this way last year. Auto replays need to be tuned down a ton or option to turn off.

Another option is to allow option to turn on batter walkups on fast play. That, and end of half inning replays with box scores.

Personally, I think they did the presentation a disservice this year. But it is clear from Ramone's posts that they are not going to be adding things back in. Their stats and user feedback tell them what needs to change. Problem is, I think that feedback caters to more of a "hurry up" type player. Many of us here are just the opposite...we prefer to savor all the Show brings us...or used to.

Features are being cut while others are being added. All you can do is hope their stats don't tell them one of your favorite features should go.

I sense the tide is turning a bit on how they do business. Just my $.02...

            C

PS: off topic a bit but I have been going to major league games since 1960 and I have never seen a pickoff throw wind up in the stands. I am sure it has happened, but in the Show it is a semi-regular occurrence.

It's good to know they can sell and develop games without us making a poll thread here, I would have never guessed that was possible.

I don't believe our polls, threads and opinions/preferences here is at all what is important or influencing any of various discussions. The standard that should be expected of the only licensed MLB video game product is what's important and I'm one that believes the game should represent the sport in the best way possible above satisfying anyone particular sector of people's interest.

This probably explains why there was never no live streams about online or any heads up the route they were taken turning all online games to FAST PLAY. Instead we half to buy the game to find this out on our on.

All I'm going to say to that is read the BOLD.
                Urgent: Online Franchise Creation Delays

                <time itemprop="dateCreated" datetime="2015-04-01T02:13:34">03-31-2015, 09:13 PM</time>

First off, thanks for everyone playing MLB 15 The Show. We've seen more concurrent users online than ever before! We're reaching 40k! We also know that some of you have experienced delays when trying to create an Online Franchise. The good news is that although it may take a significant amount of time to create your Online Franchise, it will be created! You data and settings are all in-tact. In most cases, we expect that your Online Franchise will created within minutes. In some rare situations, it may take more than n hour. That should be rare. We ask that you not delete your Online Franchise and try to recreate it. Doing that will actually slow the process down further. Thanks for your patience.

We apologize for the delay, but we’re a bit more popular than we expected day one.
                Thank you!

The thing is, if you want to enjoy all the broadcast nuances, you can offline. My experience online has been that people want to fast forward the replays anyway in games that have them. I actually enjoy both, because I was able to get a game in in under a half hour when I wanted to get to bed. Personally, the broadcast mode is awesome for awhile and then I find myself fast forwarding a lot of the time anyway. It would be a stupid reason to not buy the game IMO.

But I only buy this to play online and if they would have came out and said this in the streams I wouldnt have bought the game. I bought the game on PSN store so no trading it in. I think it should be a user decision if they want broadcast or fastplay. i know there's a lot of button smashers out there. If you dont like broadcast just hit X and skip through it. The reason FAST PLAY was done online was not to speed games up they thought this would fix the issues they have had since 2008 and especially the issues on MLB 14 last year, but even with fast play on the blue error screens are there, the freeze ups still occur so what did it really fix by turning all online games to FAST PLAY?

Again I'm not attacking the developers in anyway this is not my intentions. I actually like most of them and again applaud them on this years gameplay, graphics. These guys did an outstanding job this year with all of that. By problem is they didnt hint, mention or give a heads up t any point in the live streams that they were making all online games FAST PLAY. They did gamespot or IGN videos and never mention it there either.

No sale to me this year. I don't play offline so I'm not buying a gimped online mode.

Being forced to use Fast Play in Diamond Dynasty and Online Franchise is the single biggest disappointment for me in this year's game.

Maybe the reason for the reduced options was to combat latency and cut down on the packets of info flying back and forth. If I had to choose I would much rather have a much smoother online experience with less fluff than a presentation that was to the max and could only stutter along at best. I think it is pick your poison. I am just happy that online is very playable this year.

I would absolutely agree with this and have no problem saying so if the same stuff wasn't happening from MLB 14. If actually fast play made online play as smooth as it should. If the fix was to turn fast play off to make online more playable then why are the same things happening? In my opinion yes online is better this year but the same stuff is still happening from last year so did this really fix anything?

I turned infielder throwing error down to 2. Outfield at 1. And turned up infield fielding errors to 6, and may need need to go up to 7. But with those I see realistic amount of errors and more realistic errors period. Throwing errors are ultra rare, especially the type we see in this game.
