I never heard Ramone give a reason why it isnt in the game and frankly, I dont understand why everyone is being so sensitive about this issue.

All I said was that from what I understand about the Wrigley renovations and the lawsuits involved with them (which I have followed on a daily basis for the last 3 years), is that SCEA should have no issue with the being sued by anyone.

If MLB told them not to do it, then I dont understand why MLB is being stupid about it because nobody is going to get sued over an imaginary stadium in a videogame.

Not couldn't add. They had to take them out for legal reasons. Same end result, I'm just clarifying for clarification's sake.

You can see hints of the video boards in some early trailers and I believe the first ten minutes of the first Twitch stream. They looked good.

The key phrase in this phrase is "I don't understand "

You have no idea what was said, who said it, or why. It's not going to be in the game. That's all we need to understand.

And for someone who knows the legal system to continue to question SCEA's decision making without knowing all the facts seems to be pretty shady legal practice. I would think rule number one in law school is obtain all the facts
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I said I didnt understand why this is such a touchy subject for so many of you. Like, people are telling me I'm not allowed to comment on the subject or ask questions simply because Ramone said something in a video or something. I never heard the reason. Simply saying "legal reasons" doesnt really explain anything in detail.

As far as the actual details of the lawsuit the Cubs faced, it had to do with a contract they had signed with rooftop owners. The Cubs were getting a cut of the profits from the rooftop owners in the terms of a deal they agreed to.

Obviously, one part of that deal was that the Cubs could not put up advertising signs that would block the views of the rooftops.

But then Wrigley Field started falling apart (It is 101 years old, so...like...aging is natural). The Cubs asked for government funding to help them renovate. They were denied. So then the owner of the Cub (Tom Ricketts) decided they would need to generate extra revenue via advertising in order to pay for the renovations.

That turned into a battle, since the contract was there. But the language of the contract provided the Cubs an out. Since it said the Cubs were allowed to "expand" Wrigley Field, they decided to make blueprints and push out the walls of the stadium (not the playing field, but the back wall of the OF, near to streets). With that language being used, the Cubs never faced a serious threat of a lawsuit and they began their renovations in November.

Where SCEA felt they had any legal issues in any of that, I have no idea.

You keep saying you don't understand and you don't because you don't know all the facts nor do you need to know the facts.

It's not a touchy subject for anyone. But to come I. Claiming that SCEA was wrong in their decision based on your knowledge of the legal system is ridiculous
I haven't been saying "I dont understand" about anything related to the issue other than the fact that I dont understand why everyone is so pissy about this whole issue.

Why cant I question it? And why are you getting upset that I am questioning it?

It is bizarre behavior. This is a forum. I am asking questions because that is part of what people do on forums. You seem to want me to keep my mouth shut and stop talking about Wrigley Field in MLB The Show 15....which "I don't understand" hahaha

"SCEA didn't disclose reasons and there is no reason they need to disclose any reason in this regard to a group of gamers."

This is all well and good, but it doesnt mean I cannot question their decision. I know the situation better than you do. Based on my knowledge of the lawsuits, SCEA had no reason to exclude the jumbotrons from Wrigley. In the end, it is just a game, and its not a huge deal, but it wouldve been cool to see an accurate stadium (that we saw in previews of the game).

Sorry if that is upsetting to you.

Well, I agree it does NOT matter why, but I'm pretty sure they never even said "legal reasons". I think Ramone simply said that they had to take them out. He did not specify if it was a technical reason, legal reason, licensing reason, etc. I think we just all assumed it was because the Cubs and Wrigley field were, at the time, still bound up in the courts, especially regarding the Right Field board. And therefor Sony SDS couldn't have them on the virutal Wrigley Field because they weren't officially trademarked/copyrighted, etc.

Side note: the new lights are in the game down the Left and Right field lines, but they won't go up in real life until 2016.

Ok, wait...first of all, you can be done. Nobody cares if you grace them with your presence. So if you have more important things to do, by all means, leave. lol

                    Since you dont....

No, I dont know the details of why SCEA was told to remove the updates. That is what I want to know. They weren't going to be sued by rooftop owners about imaginary signs in an imaginary stadium. If MLB told them to remove the signs (a possibility someone mentioned in this thread), then the question shifts to them. Why did it matter so much? They were imaginary signs in an imaginary stadium and it wouldn't have made a difference if they were included in the game or not.

Again, I only question this because the signs were featured in previews of the game. Then they were suddenly removed prior to release, even though the real life jumbotron was already constructed in left center field at Wrigley.

                    I just didn't understand.

There is nothing to question here. SCEA removed the updates due to legal reasons. They said they would not discuss the reasons.

You can ask the question a million times and that will be your answer each time from the only source that matters.

Right...so this is a forum...and when people got "pissy" about your little hissy fit over Wrigley...in which they were telling you why the changes had to be removed.....you are now going to tell people NOT to get on you about it?
                              What a joke.

I love when people post in a forum.....then question why others are replying to them(in any fashion) and use the "this is a forum" defense when trying to support their right to post.
