Lacking Infield Shifts - Wheel Plays

So I didn't go back to 14 to see if they were there or not but I don't remember not having some fundamental fielding shifts.

In 15 we don't have either corners in or DP depth as an option to choose (unless I'm missing them).

Also, something that's never been in the game is wheel plays. They are sorely needed. Maybe now that they have shored up the gameplay and visuals on the ps4 we can start to add some small things like wheel plays into this wonderful game.

I have been asking for the wheel play for quite a while. I have had conversations about it with them and they have seemed open to adding it. Hopefully it makes its way in eventually.

As far as the other ones you mentioned you should be able to go into the main defensive positioning section tile in the pause menu and set those up.

I was hoping they were going to include a shortcut option within the quick shift menu to take you directly to the main defensive positioning section to set up the more involved defensive schemes.

That is a great idea, the wheel play. As well as adding a shortcut to the quick shifts menu to bring up the bigger menu.

Bunting in general needs a revamp. It's the biggest area lacking in gameplay imo. The success rate of bunts needs to be looked at. The success rate of pitchers sacrifice bunting as well. Last year it was far too easy and even pitchers with a rating of 1 in bunting could lay down beautys. It's not a feature to put on the back of the box to sell copies but I am hoping it gets some love soon.

When I hit down on the d-pad neither dp depth or corners in is an option. Is there somewhere in the pause menu with different options maybe? There's only been a few times I wanted to select those (DP depth is automatically set) and couldn't find them.

I'm pretty sure you'll find more defensive shifts in the pause menu. Top right.

            Thanks! Hadn't looked in there.

I was too excited to see that you've broached the topic of adding wheel plays to actually read the whole post lol.

Haha, I am a defensive positioning junkie, I am always approaching them with ideas for defense related things, lol.

I get why wheel plays aren't in. They would probably only be used by a small fraction of users but it would be nice for those of us who know how to use them.

usually with men on 1st and 2nd with less than 2 outs, the 3B charges and the SS "wheels" around to cover 3rd so you can try and force the lead runner.

They are designed to throw out the lead runner in obvious sacrifice situations. I'll detail a few specifically when I get home from Easter festivities.

I wish I didn't always have to confirm that I want to keep the changes when leaving the Quick Shift Menu after I make a change. Not be big deal but would make it even a bit faster:wink:
