    Re: Analog Pitching = death?

    Hey All,
For the people have success with analog pitching, what difficulty are you playing on? I only ask because I was dominating on all-star+, and because of this I jumped to hall of fame and now I'm getting hammered. I'm giving up about 5-6 runs per game. The thing is, hitters are hitting even good pitches on the black. IF I make a mistake that's on me, but I'm just trying to figure out what I might be doing wrong that they are hitting my good pitches as well.

Anyone have any suggestions to help? Thanks in advance!

Don't play on HOF and go back to All star+ lol. But really in the past I have always found that on HOF that the CPU will foul off like a million pitches and they will hit a lot of good pitches at the knees and pitches above the hands. They just hit ever thing on HOF.

You guys feel any difference in pitchers with analog?

I do. I pitch better with better pitchers and worse with worse ones. I play as the Mets so none of my pitchers are particularly terrible... I am probably not the best reference point for this matter. But I feel like pitchers perform as they should with analog pitching.

On another, unrelated note, I've been experimenting with different release points. IE: intentionally releasing the ball just below the "perfect" line on the analog meter, that is, a split-second later... In hopes that I will get better performance and alleviate the problem I've been having.

I'm reluctant to use sliders to address this because few people seem to agree with me, and I dont really want to change sliders for something that could just be in my head.

Anyway... I wonder if other people do this? The late/early release on purpose?

Yes and in my limited time with meter I think meter is easier. I tend to have a higher strike % with meter then I do with analog. Pulse is like the hardest though. Would never ever use classic has I hate that it is basically random and you don't have control with classic on if a pitch is bad or not.

I have been using it since 11.

the harder you push up on the right stick the more energy your pitcher will use.

don't always release it perfectly. switch it up.

Turn on the new pitch trail which shows exactly the flight of your pitch across the plate. This will will help you mess with the cpus' eye level.

I do that too with using different release points on pitches with analog. I do think pitching is harder this year, not as easy to locate, but imo that's a good thing.

Yeah I am having a hard time adjusting to pitching this year. In the past I was AS level and kind of in the middle has AS default was to easy but HOF was to hard. This year so far I am on DD rookie and already having some trouble on rookie lol. I just gave up 5 runs last game I played and a few days ago on DD rookie+ I gave up 7 runs in just 4 innings with bumgarner.

Yeah I do the early late thing my self that is the thing I like about analog. If you miss on purpose with say a fastball it will make the ball wise and can be a good way to throw a high fastball out of the strike zone to try to get the CPU to chase. If you are early it makes the ball kind of sink.
