Budget Surplus

So, I played around with a roster with adequate salaries on it this weekend. It looks like in the offseason there will be a few players who sit in the FA bin because of their exorbitant cost and no takers because all of the budgets are spent.

I have two questions -

1. Any idea how to remedy this?

2. How should we build in a budget surplus like the Braves have made with this Kimbrel trade. The system is going to adapt the next annual budget based on the current year's budget. Any ideas on how to keep that money available into the offseason?

You cannot edit all players contracts to reflect real contracts. The contract system is not set up to reflect the "actual" salary structure of real mlb salaries.

What I have tested, and seems to work is to only edit a handful of players that have large contracts. Even those contracts may not be the actual real salaries.

Here was the changes that were most stable for me. Each dollar amount is per year then multiplied by number of years.

Very helpful, I may tweak and play with this. So, as in the Kimbrel trade, after I make that trade and the year closes out (and the Braves suck), my budget will drop in line with the salaries at the close of the year. Any idea in how to keep a surplus?
