Sliders not working in Diamond Dynasty?

They're not working for me at least when batting. When I use the same sliders that max out batting in Rookie level in Diamond Dynasty going against atrocious teams in Extra Innings option (or choosing th worst MLB team) my stats are abysmal (my Diamond Dynasty team has a 75 rating). I average 5 hits per game. When I use the same sliders in RTTS at the very beginning of my career as a shortstop which has average contact and almost no power, I hit a home run in 25% of my at bats, and have a batting average of .900.

Are sliders disabled for Diamond Dynasty mode? What is going on?

Is this the only game mode where sliders don't work? I guess it should have been obvious by your laugh but no where does it say that, and since sliders are set on other screens still apply to RTTS a new player would normally just assume they are active in Diamond mode as well.

Sliders dont' work for any competitive online game mode.

Dude you cant be serious. Why would sliders work online that would be cheating. How fair would it be for you to have your sliders all the way down like pitch speed and hitting contact to the point where the ball looks like a underhand softball pitch coming at you and you crush every ball out of the park while you opponent is set to HOF for everything because he wants a challange and a real competitive game. Common sense man no sliders dont work in Diamond Dynasty all games I believe are set to All-Star difficulty for both players to make it fair.

He's talking about playing Extra Innings games which are offline against CPU.

To answer your question OP, the reason this is disabled is because players earn cards and items as rewards for playing those offline DD games, so even though you're just playing the CPU it's still a competitive game mode with ramifications for the rest of the DD community.

If you were allowed to use sliders, you could set the difficulty at Legend (giving you the highest chance to earn a Gold or Diamond reward) and then lower all the sliders to 0 and basically "juke the stats" to borrow a phrase from The Wire, to give yourself great odds of getting a good card as a reward even though the game was easy for you.

Just to be sure, so the % of getting a certain card(silver,gold ect.) that is shown when picking difficulty in DD is for winning only,wasn't sure if it was for just playing on that level.have only played the one game on rookie in DD so far, think i only got a common card.

The majority of the gameplay types in Diamond Dynasty mode are offline. In fact, I even outlined in my post the exact offline modes I was using. Sometimes veterans of this game, in their haste to belittle new players, miss the context of entire questions.

Maddens jowels - thanks for the explanation. Since I never intended to play someone online in Diamond Dynasty mode, your reasoning did not occur to me.
