Directional Hitting with Analog Tips & Questions (only)
I know the swing types are left/right on Right Stick = Contact, Up = Normal and Down then Up = power but why is contact Left or Right? Does it matter if I push left or right? Does this influence direction as well? I rarely use contact but this is confusing. Other than that I love the hitting. It feels so natural to be able to adjust my swing type mid-pitch! Please someone answer this because I know I am not the only one who doesn't understand the left/right on the right stick for analog with directional hitting specifically.Tags: None -

I am about 99% sure that it doesn't matter if you push left or right for a contact swing. I think it was better having to push the o button last year though because I think it fells more natural to push up with the right stick then to push left or right. -

I had the same question but I am positive left/right doesn't matter in terms of influencing direction. I think it was just done to give users the option to use whichever direction felt more comfortable. For me, I find it easier to push left than right, so I use that for contact.Comment

It doesn't matter which side you pick.
