    RTTS Call Ups

What is it based on this year? Statistics/performance? Or overall ranking? In previous years they had advancement goals but thus far I haven't seen any of that. It appears it was replacement by the performance charts showing percentages. Just curious as I'm an 84 overall hitting .450 in AA and haven't even gotten a single message regarding advancement.

I'd like to find this out as well. I'm playing every game and being patient so there's really no rush for me.

After 112 at-bats I was called up to Triple A. Just kind of curious what if anything determines a Big League call-up.

It's the same as last year, based on depth chart and OVR. Currently playing SS for Yankees organization. With the help of the 12K in stubs and hitting over .400, I got called up from AA directly to 40 man roster on the first week of June which is around the time my OVR passed Didi Gregorious and Brendan Ryan. I am immensely enjoying playing SS, wearing #2 and batting 2nd for the Yankees.

Do you have a 2nd position, maybe OF? Pearce and Snider is pretty much the only other OF, though Pearce and Young is mainly listed as DH. So there's really one backup OF for the Orioles and you beat out either Pearce or Snider or both in OVR.

I know my call up from AA to AAA with my Astros shortstop was due to injury at the AAA level about a month into my 1st season. When the starting shortstop recovered, they kept me in AAA sometimes on the bench, sometimes playing 2B and sometimes spelling the starting SS. I think they even mentioned the injury and call up in the radio show.

I have a 2nd baseman, in year 3 with Kansas City and on the MLB team. Rated 84 overall, batting around .305, but platooning at all infield spots and not a starter. So 3-4 games a week I get into a game subbing for a starter on the infield. The problem is this: The starting 2nd baseman for the Royals is now Aaron Hill, who has regressed to a 69 and is batting .230. I go to the interactions screen and ask to be a starter, and the manager replies "Hill is doing a fine job, but I'll try to get you a start soon"

MLB The Show has had this problem for years, your player can get promoted only to sit on the bench. Worst was a 1B I had in MLB 14. I got traded to the Reds while in AAA, then promoted to the MLB team a month later only to sit behind Joey Votto on the bench. I literally would go 2+ weeks sometimes with nothing when I chose "Play Your Next Appearance". Needless to say my player's skills began to regress because I had no training points to use and couldn't get any when I only played 3 games a month.

i think its potential, if you have A potential, you will move up quicker. I made a Closer im only 65 overall right now, but i was called up to pitch majors when i was only 61 overall. Basically, the Twins(who i was drafted by) traded away their closer and called me up, YET im not even the highest overall closer on the depth chart.

it also took me just 1 season in double A before being promoted to triple A then i lasted like a month there before being bought to the Twins.

My 1st baseman got called up after 7 weeks in AA ball to the show (Cardinals )the person that was playing 1 base was sent to AA and I replaced him as the starter. It helps if the player that is on the AAA or major league level is not play very well it helps them call you up sooner.

In my first season, my SS was brought up from AA to the Pirates just after the All Star break. My SS was an All-Star in AA. They sent down Jordy Mercer to AA and I was an every day player. Then in the offseason, they brought Mercer back up and traded my guy to the Reds.
