The Show Hellscape?

Now, I don't know if this is a bug or a conscious design choice (I doubt it) but twice now I've been playing a 7:00, May/June game at Fenway, with the weather set to partly cloudy, when the sky erupted into a nightmarish red hellscape of doom. Basically, during one of the middle innings the sky was black but the clouds blood red. Maybe this was meant to emulate dusk and something went wrong, but it looks really unnatural, like the sky is on fire. Even my girlfriend commented, "Whoa, what's going on with the sky?" The next inning, the sky was totally dark.



I don't think my TV settings are to blame as everything else looks great. I took a picture (I think?) but am not quite sure how to get it from my PS4 to my computer. Anyone else have any idea what I'm talking about?

I've seen it once or twice. It's awesome. Here in Cleveland, we get red skies every so often during the summer, it's gorgeous.

"Red sky at night, sailors delight" ever hear that old saying? It means if there is a red sky at night, the next day will be nice and sunny :-)

No, it looks nothing like that. It's tomato red clouds on a pitch black sky. I realize this thread is kinda pointless without pictures, so I'll try to get one up as soon as I can.

This is the best thread ever. LOL!

Actually, I noticed it too. The pallet is very red and black (on my TV), giving it that satinish look when a little more orange of the not fire variety could help cool things down.

I thought the it was weird the first time I saw the blood red clouds too, it look like I was playing in Transylvania. could care less about it, just think its odd design choice.

Are you kidding me? This is not unnatural. It's the sun setting and bouncing light off the lighter coloured clouds. That's why the sky around is dark and that's why it's not there a little bit later, 'cause the sun has officially set... Come on...

I filled out a bug report on those crazy unrealistic clouds, tornadoes, and grizzly bears (claws, speed and heavy fur = totally OP).

Skies can get like that, though it's rare. It may seem odd seeing that in Boston or Atlanta almost every night, but it doesn't bother me any. I Still think the evening skies, especially on partly cloudy days, look awesome.

Figured it out. This is why I'm struggling with hitting this year. The red clouds are distracting me with their evilness and subliminal messages to swing early on change ups.

At least I know its not me.
