First career homerun glitch

OK I have been coming to this forum since 2011 and usually find what I need without having to post... So this is my first post. I love this place and I just want to say thanks to everyone for all you guys do.

Now to my issue I tried to login to theshownation to post a bug but it stays on the "thanks for logging in" screen and won't move... If I go back I am no longer logged in... But whatever.... I have also searched on here for an answer with no luck....

Last season the work around was to play the first game of the season and manually play the first at bat in a franchise and use 30 team control... Well this year the same thing happens.... Every first home run that I hit in a franchise game says "that is his first major league home run... What a moment, I remember my first....." Blah blah blah..... So Adrian Beltre has hit his first career home run 3 times in my franchise in the first 4 game series (after the 1st career HR call, they even comment that it's his 3rd HR of the series).... It's terribly annoying and I was wondering if someone could post this Bug to the devs, or if anyone knows a work around I would love to hear it!! (I tried to play the first game/at bat again, with Cards/Cubs but it didn't work) and I'd love to be able to NOT have to play 30 team control franchise....

I have no idea what you are talking about... ?? Are you saying if you don't play the first game, any game you do play after that it thinks each guys' first home run of the season is the first of their career?

I've started 2 different franchises since the game came out, one with Seattle and one with San Diego, and have not experienced what you are talking about. Have homered with several guys, the only time I've heard the "First Home Run" routine was in Road to The Show mode with my created player. Not in franchise.

Can you capture a video of what you are talking about?

It might have been if you played your first game with a certain team....and the other games simmed.
Using the Mets last year....I didn't have this glitch....but I did remember seeing a thread about it.

Kind of.... The first home run hit in EVERY FRANCHISE mode game days it is that players first career home run.... I use Texas And this is what happened day one of my franchise. In the top of the first Prince Fielder hits a HR... It was announced as his first career HR and the graphics pop up and they retrieve the ball for him and make the hooplaw about it... Then Beltre hits one the very next at bat And it said "Beltre just hit career HR# 396... Inching ever closer to number 400.... Then the next day (game 2) Beltre hit a 2 run homer in the first inning and they gave him the "that was his 1st Major League Home Run" treatment even though it was number 397 of his career.... Game 3 Shin Soo Choo hit his first major league HR and in game 4 Beltre hit his first career HR again and then they started talking about how it was his 3rd of the series and that he is only 2 away from 400.....

On mlb 14 the show the work around for this glitch was to play the first at bat of the franchise and you had to user control all 30 teams in a franchise to fix it....

I use the Mets and have not had that problem this year.

This glitch is still happening exactly the way the o.p. said. I'm using Ridin's latest roster. Nobody else has said anything about it, so I can't help but wonder if I'm doing something wrong. I'm using 30 team control. This sucks! It's made me lose all interest in playing.

I know this issue was reported on the Show Nation bug reports. I saw it there. They actually removed my post for the same issue so they must acknowledge it by now. Let's hope this gets fixed. I noticed it happens in year 2 of Franchise mode.

Turn the announcers off. They suck anyway and the stadiums sounds are so much more pleasant.

I had this problem too. Check out the thread titled "Brandon Belt first career homerun???" for workaround. You will have to start over though!

I had this issue with my Yankees franchise , what I did was saved a new file and loaded it and played under it , the glitch hasn't been seen since.

I'm already far enough into my franchise that I don't want to start over. Has there been any word on this being fixed?

No real need to revive a year old thread. This is being discussed in other threads, has been posted as a bug and has been in the game from at least 14 if not 13.
