Does pitch speed seem a bit faster?

It could just be me, but I was hitting very with Zone plus Analog on 14 with 10 pitch speed/legend difficulty. Now I carried over my saves and tried the same and I could not hit that well lol. Is 10 pitch speed now too fast? I put it back down to 8 and it seemed better.

If you are still using analog, the bat or animation speed seem slower in its new form. Button hitting feels quicker.

I am using zone with buttons mainly. But I just find it weird I was hitting well in 14 but then in 15 it was just a struggle. Maybe it was just me and my sample size is too small....

JW if anyone has timed and tested the pitch speeds yet this year. In years' past generally 10 pitch speed was closest to real life for how quickly the ball go to the plate and each click on the slider was a -/+ 2.5 variance in MPH as well as each difficulty.

Fells the same to me. Last years was way slower then ever before an this year it fells the same. I am having a harder time hitting but I think it is more that you have to be closer with your PCI placement then in years past not the pitch speed.

I use zone and feel like pitch speed is slower.

Pitch speed even feels faster online a tad.

No way it is slower lol.

I think it was me struggling with the Astros pea sized PCI and facing the Dodgers good pitching, but I just wanted to get some quick feedback.

I've seen a lot of people say it feels slower, but it seems a tad faster to me. The game as a whole feels a little faster to me.

I think if anything the changeups seem way slower to some but I am not experiencing that problem.

Re: Does pitch speed seem a bit faster?

I don't know what to say. The first online game I played like the 2nd inning in I told my friend the pitch speed seems slower. He said he thought it was faster.

The game in general seems faster, I agree, but pitch speed is definitely slower.

Granted I'm switching from PS3 to PS4, so there could be processing/rendering speed, lag, etc.. dynamics in play here.

It isnt that changeups are slower, its that they have way more downward action.

Im not far off from the timing-wise, but they miss bats and produce weak contact. (Which is a good thing IMO because thats how they feel in real-life)

Re: Does pitch speed seem a bit faster?

So far I do feel that fastballs are a bit faster and offspeed, particularly changeups, are a bit slower. There seems to be an even more unnatural separation between 95 mph fastballs and 75 mph changeups this year. Could just be getting used to the new game, but the timing does feel different. After playing a few games I actually sent cardinal a message since the timing felt off. I was way out in front of offspeed pitches online and it felt different from last year, if only slightly.

I don't know. I don't know if it's the improved movement of the pitches that's allowing me to track the ball better, but pitches feel a bit slower than last year. If anything, I feel as if the less forgiving timing windows (just a guess) that are giving me trouble getting contact.

Seems slower to me. On 10 I am still early on just about every single thing on All Star. I have to be looking away and get something inside to be late really.
