Practice? We talkin' 'bout...practice? => Yes please!

When I'm having my daily slump while trying to hit, I usually go into practice mode to iron some things out...literally take an entire session just seeing the pitch breaks, understanding what's a ball/strike, readjust my timing, etc.

That brings me to my ignorant question. Why are there no sliders in practice mode? I play at a pitch speed of 1 (0 being the far left and 10 the far right) so I play with a fairly significant handicap as I'm old and it takes my fingers longer to understand when hit "X". This slider isn't present in practice mode however as everything is defaulted to 5.

...for that matter, if I want to readjust fielder speed, reaction time, any of the hitting sliders, I must be in a game and not practice mode. Am I missing something here?

I do wish I could preselect certain pitches that I only wish to see; I have a hard time pulling the ball so seeing only fastballs for one set of balls would help me get that timing then I could progress to FBs and changeups or FBs and breaking balls...then again, maybe that's just me being old.

In one of the MLB games I don't remember what year it was you could make the pitcher throw like all fastballs if you want or all changeups. I don't know why they took that out. When it comes to pitch speed I think practice mode dose use your settings. So in practice mode I don't think ever thing goes back to default 5 like you said.
