    HOT/COLD ZONES and Brock Stassi

figured I may as well just use this thread instead of a new one:
I was looking for the most neutral hot/coldzone fake player I could find, and I think maybe Brock Stassi might be the one. Anyone else seen a more neutral fake player, one that can be exported? and i am reading his right, arent I, hes about as neutral as one can get/
and while I'm at it, who's the reddest fake player anyones come across?

      @Caulfield

Couldn't you turn off hotzones if you didn't want them to have an effect?

I want them to have an effect but I also want each player to start at zero.
dont these change over time or do they stay the same?

I'm like 99.99999% sure hotzones only change for your rtts guy. That would be way too much data to track.

I don't know if CPU hot/cold zones change, but I swear I've seen players on my franchise team have change over time.

Yeah the red and blue zones are just to show the hitters real life hot and cold zone. Doesnt mean jack when playing. But it does serve a nice purpose though when you are playing online. I like to feast on people who throw for the one or 2 blue squares my hitter may have and sit on that zone and jack it. Especially up and in fastballs.

For many real players I believe the zones are based off real life tendencies (to start at least). For the rest I get the distinct impression they are decided by ratings. The more power the better high zones, the better discipline the better outside zones, contact is overall red, difference between l/r ratings has to do with inside/outside. I've never fully looked into this or the actual correlations but I know they improve and change as I've had prospects come up who are all blue but have slower gained red in certain zones.

I thought hot/cold zones were just a display that showed a swing's weak and strong points. As a batter got better, the entire chart would "warm", and it would get colder as they regressed.

I'd always assumed if you went to edit a player's swing their hot/cold areas would change.

Could definitely be wrong about that though.

A distant cousin of this question is whether the hot/cold icon next to a player is simply a visual indication of the player being on a streak or slump or whether it actually has an attribute effect.

Here's the link to where Ramone said it has an effect with the zones turned on some years ago (if his "like" on the above post wasn't good enough proof for you).

                        http://www.operationsports.com/forum...ffected-2.html

However, with a new option this year comes another question - we can set the zones to only appear while we're pitching this year. So, with that option set does that mean their effect is only active when pitching, or do they still work for both even though it's hidden for batting?

I was there for a while, place is a **** hole. Don't bother imo. Only slightly better than The Show Nation.

This thread was started in 2015 and the post from Ramone was in 2011. I'm fairly certain we've been told recently that hot/cold zone's have zero bearing on the result and are just a visual.

If the effect is only when hot/cold zones are turned on....well, I have them turned on only for the 1st pitch so what does that mean?

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.
