    Retired numbers

I know this has been discussed before but can someone from the development team let us know if making retired numbers optional is possible? Or is the a contractual obligation preventing it? Thanks

My guess would be that they are not allowed to use retired numbers as per agreement with MLB and MLBPA.

I keep thinking this was answered before and something similar to what I posted was the reason given.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

I personally love that they implement them. They want the game to be as realistic as possible, and not letting players on specific teams wear specific numbers is pretty realistic.

I also love that when you're creating a player, you can only select the number 42 if you're making Jackie Robinson. It skips it for literally every other player, real or fictional.

I'm not asking that it be removed. I would just like the option to turn it off. There are a lot of historic roster users out there and it would just add to the great historic rosters if say Graig Nettles could actually wear #9. Seems like an easy fix to make everybody happy... unless it's a contractual issue?
