    Fans Reaction To Homers

So I know it's a small thing but I just now noticed that fans do not react to home runs till after the ball lands in the stands. I remember last year fans would get out of their seats a few seconds after contact. Is this a bug or something that was changed this year?

I've seen fans get out of their seats very often this year. Last night I was playing and I thought I hit a home run because some fans jumped out of their seat, but the CPU caught in on the warning track

I thought he was talking about audio.

I've seen the fans get up too, there's no bug.

He talked about fans "getting out of their seats" though, so I figured that was it. If he means audio, I haven't noticed anything about that

I've always been disappointed with the fans reactions to what's going on in the game. To me, Fifa and pro evolution soccer set the standard for what realistic crowd reactions should be in a sports video game. It adds so much! I really hope they work on improving this in future releases. Improved Home run reactions and increased noise with 2 strikes and in key situations later in games would be a great starting point.

In regards to this, I have a 5.1 home theater setup and I can certainly say that in the situations you've described, there is definitely a noticeable change in crowd volume. On two strike counts, especially after a batter has fouled off a few pitches, the crowd is louder. Same late in the game: the crowd's boos are louder if a pitch is called a ball and cheers are louder for strikeouts.

Yeah the crowd is actually really good imo at recognizing what is going on in the game. I had the crowd on their feet in the game I just played in the 9th as Rosenthal mowed down three in a row with three strikeouts. They were standing and were louder than any other point in the game.

In regards to the OP, I've seen fans stand plenty of times when the ball is hit deep.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

One of the first things I noticed this year was the improved surround sound experience. I did not see this advertised anywhere before hand so I was quite happily surprised.

My only issue with crowd noise is how loud they are in the first inning of any non-playoff game.

I like it when you hit an HR in batting warm up and that one person in the crowd applauds
