Yeah, i understand all of that but i personally would want to have retractable roofs, maybe they should add create a stadium next year then strip out the minor league parks,, then everyone could build there own stadium, actually keep the minor league parks and add create a stadium, that sounds like W's all the way around.

Here is the problem with Marlins Park. The whole thing in an eyesore. To me it is the ugliest park in MLB.Attached FilesComment

You're still forgetting that this game isn't made for "Go Yankees" of OS.
There are people that want the minor league parks for their road to the show character. They don't want to have to create multiple minor league stadiums to be able to play in multiple parks throughout their season (create a stadium isn't coming to the game again for various reasons btw).
Yet the biggest thing your missing is that this isn't a space issue. They don't need to delete the minor league stadiums in order to create duplicate art for closed roof stadiums.Comment

Re: Marlins Park Problem
Maybe if 2k focused on the fundamentals first like the Show has, it will still have a baseball title
I would easily take more minor league stadiums over closed roofs. I would at least like to see them get to 30 minor league stadiums (one for each organization) before they work on closed roofs.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Re: Marlins Park Problem
I'm still a rookie coder but I wouldn't think it would be that hard to just remove weather for stadiums with retractable roofs (RR). I haven't actually looked but I doubt that Tropicana field has an option for weather (rain, cloudy, ect). Why can't that code just be copied to RR stadiums to at least eliminate it raining in a stadium where it shouldn't be happening?
Not bitching or complaining, just throwing it out there. Perhaps someone with way more coding experience than me will chime in as to why my idea wouldn't work.Comment

Re: Marlins Park Problem
lol I understand that. I only bring it up because I was in batting practice at Safeco and it was like a hurricane downpour. I quit and restarted and it was still like that. In that situation you don't have a choice of weather.Comment

Re: Marlins Park Problem
Here is a screenshot of that. It is kind of hard to see but that haze is all rain. My only idea would be to remove the rain from the RR stadiums.
I couldn't really care less if the roofs were shown open or closed, I think graphically they all look amazing the way they are. So again, I am NOT complaining or trying to beat a dead horse!! Just throwing out a suggestion.

Re: Marlins Park Problem
I would love to have the option to have open/closed roofs. I can understand all the work to accomplish this but you are looking at 6 Stadiums here not 30.
Please at least give me the chance to postpone games due to rain and schedule them on a day off as MLB does. I like to use real lineups in the MLB, but a game that is PPD and scheduled later in the season messes this all up for me taking realism awayComment

Re: Marlins Park Problem
I've always thought the lack of retractable roof stadiums is because SDS do not wanna go that route, if they we'd have that feature already.
I'd much rather have a brief scene showing the roofs starting to close, fade to black, and we're closed, or it starts closed then opens.PSN: Lynx2069

Re: Marlins Park Problem
I think we will get the roof thing in the game (don't really care myself, but, ok whatever).
I think rain outs should be added first, but I don't think they will ever get into the game. That would add a lot to the game in terms of strategy though.
We are never getting create a stadium. Which sucks because that would be awesome.Comment
