I actually play quite a few.

I always play the All-Star Games. But I will play maybe 3 or 4 from each level a month, just to get a feel for some of the players that I may call up later.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

I play a handful of AAA games each season to get a feel for who should be promoted to MLB level. I never play AA games.

I play a lot of mine, more than ever now. With the addition of player lock and quick counts, really lets me spend a lot of time with my minor league clubs.

I actually played a whole franchise season last year only playing the Richmond Flying Squirrels and simming the AAA and MLB games. It was fun.

This year I'm playing the Astros, plus a lot of games from their AA and AAA teams. I don't like to get ahead of the actual game schedule.

When I'm going bad (like a five-game losing streak where I score like 4 runs in 6 games or something, always happens eventually) is when I generally start playing some minor league games.

I always play at least 2 and 1 of each level during each week on the team schedule during the season.(1 AAA game an 2 AA or 2AAA and 1 AA). If there are some players I really want to look at.....I might play them all for a bit.
But yes....I play a LOT of minor league games. In the past....probably more than the MLB level.
But last year and this year is different in that regard....I play every MLB game(QC's I LOVE YOU!!! )

For those that do play....what is your "home team" stadium?

...and....what stadiums do you assign to each team as home(if you do)?

                  Re: Playing the minors

I love playing minor league games. I play more minor league games then Major. Seeing what kind of players I have in my system, like making small adjustments to my players if I don't like there pitching motion or batting stance at times.
As far as what stadiums I use. I like mixing it up, I don't have a set fav for my teams. I tend to use the stadiums that have more then 15,000 capacity for Triple-A games, and under 15,000 for my Double-A games tho if anything.

                    Re: Playing the minors

I would add all fictional players to the Cubs farm system and then play almost exclusively in AA, moving players up and down as necessary. It's a blast.

The games are a little different, but still competitive, and I like the different park atmosphere and ambience.

You can, however, get a little spoiled by the pitching. When you go back to the MLB you think back to Kevin Costner's speech in Bull Durham - ungodly breaking stuff, exploding sliders, etc...lol

Can't remember which park the Smokies used as default...Main street field or something like that? Some of the minor league parks are pretty neat. Hope they add some more.

Even when I play RTTS I can hardly wait to get out of the minors so I can play in an actual ballpark lol. Some of you guys' level of dedication is staggering.

I could see playing some player lock games with your best prospects, but to play an entire season with an AA team filled with like 57 overall, C/D potential guys is just masochistic lol.

I play quite a few of my minor league teams games thruout the season. Not sure exactly how many, probably play 4 or 5 games each month for each minor league team.

I love playing my minor league games, mainly because I create myself and my friends as 18 and 19 year old's .. Of course I am with the Cleveland Indians Franchise. So We are the Akron Rubber Ducks.. and the Columbus Clippers.. I use Main Street Field, Because it looks a lot like the Rubber Ducks stadium in Akron Ohio.. For spring training, I use a field that looks like it's out west in Arizona. Off hand, I can't remember what stadium I use for the Clippers.
When I do something right, No one ever remembers.

I play as the Cardinals so Memphis and Springfield both play in Statesman Park. (Can you guess why?)

                              Some others:

Washington affiliates play at Capitol Stadium
New York plays at the Porch
Miami plays at the Beach stadium (can't think of name)
Colorado affiliates play at Barnes Canyon Ballpark
