I play with directional and it's not easy at all. You don't just time it good and get good contact. I've had good timed swings and still struck out, along with foul tips, ground outs and popups.

I think all the batting interfaces are balanced and please the people who use them. I've never heard anyone complain about something like this since auto aim in fps games. Just because you play without auto aim and someone else doesn't, you shouldn't be complaining. You could do the same if you think there's an advantage.

Everything has its pros and cons

The best solution isn't restricting options in the online modes, but simply matching people up who have the same gameplay options selected.

A zone hitter should never be matched up with a directional hitter.

Same thing with meter pitchers/pulse pitchers vs. classic pitchers.

I only agree if this becomes an optional thing.

Personally I don't want to restrict my pool of potential opponents to only those who use exactly what I use, and I really don't care at all what my opponent uses in any capacity.

I'd hate to see a set of mandatory, uncustomizable filters applied in this way.
