    Guess pitch is teh suck.

I stumbled upon something that works for me. Use directional with the camera shift as an aid to "see ball, hit ball". Go up with a plan: "I want FB inside". Push the stick that way and centre the camera looking only for it until 2 strikes. I was hitting really poorly until the past 10 games or so. Now I hit okay but many fewer walks. Once I'm seeing what I want, I swing. Walks are coming from pitchers missing when I'm looking elsewhere. And power swing in hitter's counts helps with runs and xbh.

Stop guessing pitches Try either Dynamic Difficulty or lower the difficulty to get yourself going.

        1) use the batting practice mode

        2) change the settings so it's easier, and when you start raking, change it back

        3) it's 100% mental. be patient, take pitches, work the count.

        4) go up with a plan. sitting on the curve ball, or sitting on the changeup, or taking 3 pitches to make the pitcher work........try to confuse the pitcher with various strategies each inning......and with two strikes, utilize the "contact" swing only.

Great vid good looking out much appreciated... I've been using directional, but I'm trying out your tips now, and I've walked 4 times and gotten ahead in every count. Hit by a pitch with a few singles as well! My RTTS guy is in a major slump .185 BA 17 into the season, but I feel like a change is coming! Thanks again bro!

Edit: I also turned off guess pitch it help as well!

Im definitely not enjoying this years game as much as last year. I cant hit to save my life. I always make solid contact, but its a fly out, or i pop up on the infield

I use Catcher Zoom 4 sometimes. You get the strike zone up close and can track the ball much better.

So did I until the past week or so. Read my post for something to think about.

As many have said, get rid of guess pitch. I used it for years but didn't like the changes last year and finally gave it a shot. Yeah I struck 20 times the first few games, but I took everyone's advice and really started tracking the ball. Now I hit way better than before and have moved up a level.

Here's the two things I do: I find the pitcher's release point and follow the ball from there. When I am not doing well, I'll track it starting from the wind up, through the wind-up and then from release. It really gets you into rhythm.

I'm probably in the minority of players that use guess pitch, the trick is always guess fastball low . the cpu is pretty predictable

Well, I haven't play until today since I started this thread and so far thank you all for the advice. I turned off guess pitch and the game has been much more enjoyable. Played 2 spring training games after restarting my season and then one regular season. Lost 8-6 to Seattle in 15 inning, but had 14 hits and 2 HRs with Trout. Struck out quite a bit, but looking back mostly just bad at bats. Excited about this game again... Also using zone hitting and 95% of the time just leaving it centered and swinging.

I agree with the others, guess pitch has to be turned off. It hurts you more than it does help you. My real advice however would be to be patient, especially with runners on base. Anytime you have a runner on base take the first pitch, unless you're sitting dead red on a fastball and he throws it belt high and right down the middle. More times than not its going to be a double play. If you're struggling with locating where pitches are going to end up try adjusting the hitting camera or pitch speed. Also the first few innings are the most important when trying to score, it's key to be patient in the early inning before the opposing pitcher gets any confidence. if you make them throw more pitches early in the game, you're more likely to get more mistake pitches than you would later once they get into a groove
