Re: Simming Patterns for Your Franchise
I normally play with Quick Counts on these days. I play innings 1,2,3... I fast forward to 7th or 8th inning and finish the game. You can get thru a lot of games and still have an impact on each game of the season if you like. 👍PSN- JBoo2911Comment

Re: Simming Patterns for Your Franchise
I play the first 10, then use the sim 5 play 1 method with a wrinkle here and there. The main thing I do differently is between starts I will alternate between "straight simming" and "simming with the option to intervene" (in this I start each game Fast Forward to the 7th and intervene accordingly).
Here's my 2015 schedule: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...Kp8/edit#gid=0
I moved some starts around so that I can play every team at least once, play my division opponents at least four times and play on any important dates (Jackie Robinson and Mother's Day for example). I will play 35 games in full, so hopefully I can knockout a season in a month or two.
Edit - I forgot to mention I use QC's in all games.Last edited by jeremym480; 04-21-2015, 04:23 PM.My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague

Re: Simming Patterns for Your Franchise
I play every game the first time or two through the rotation to start the season, then I play one game a series and player lock the rest.
I don't hold myself to that though, if I feel like playing 3 games in a row, then I do it. If I feel like simming an entire series, I do it.
162 games is a lot of games to play every game and I just don't like quick counts, so this is my solution."Baseball is the coolest sport because, at any moment, the catcher can stop the game and go tell the pitcher a secret" - Rob FeeComment

Re: Simming Patterns for Your Franchise
Instead of simming games, I'll put on player lock and RTTS" it through some games.
Can complete a weeks worth in around an hour and you still have an effect on the outcome.Comment

Re: Simming Patterns for Your Franchise
I basically play them all along with several f my minor league games. I might on occasion late int he season sim a couple here and there, but have no certain routine other than to play all that I can.Everyone who exalts themselves will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted- Luke14-11

Re: Simming Patterns for Your Franchise
Playing every game in a season is some serious dedication. Don't think I could do that. I usually sim about 4-5 games per every 1 that I play. I think if I were to play every single game I may get bored of it so I try to stay away from that.
If i'm playing really well and winning a lot, sometimes I will only play the games in which I face the aces i.e - Harvey, Wainwright, Teheran, etc etc. I play with the DodgersComment

Re: Simming Patterns for Your Franchise
I usually play around 30 games a season (NOT including Post Season, where I play them all)
That works out to be about every 5th game or so.
The way I look at it is this:
That gives me, as a player just enough impact on my team to either take them over the hump, or if I'm sucking, maybe even sink them.
I don't want to be the deciding factor though in my team's performance, where I'm, say, 16-2 when I play the games, but my team's sim record is like 5-18. I want to be just that little extra difference, hopefully, that pushes us into the post season. Again, if I'm playing well.
Also, at the end of the season, you'll never see a team more than about 20-25 games back in the division race, so by playing about 30 every year, that means, in theory, if I'm good, I can erase that deficit.
I simply don't have the time/patience to play EVERY game, plus post season. Part of the fun for me is developing new talent, managing the team year to year, etc, and I just wouldn't have time to play more than a season or two if I played many more games.San Francisco 49ers
