Can you disable GM Contracts after starting a Franchise?

I am guessing you cannot disable (or enable) GM Contracts after starting a franchise on MLB 15?

Can anyone confirm this?

No you cannot. Once you set it to on it'll be on for the lifetime of your franchise. You'll have to start a new franchise if you want GM contracts turned off.

So I started a new franchise and made sure gm contracts was off. Upon getting to home screen I still have gm goals. And a gm rating. Is this expected?

I noticed that to it is either a glitch or it still just shows the goals but doesn't hold you to them. Also I forgot what was said but if you use a year to year save can you turn them off or not?

Nope they are on for Y2Y saves.

oh ok just figured I would ask. I am going to start a fresh franchise mode this year though because I didn't really play last years game much as it was the first MLB the show game I was disappointed in. It is odd that you still see the goals after you start a franchise with them turned off though.

So it shows the goals but doesn't enforce firing? That's confusing. I'm currently summing into the future on a test franchise to see what happens.

You can get around it if you have thirty team control on.

What am I losing by not having GM contracts on? Money? Extra stubs? Does it get unrealistic expectations on contract renewals?
