Pitching.. I can't get any outs.

Im usually a decent pitcher but this year I can't seem to pitch for anything. What are some of you guys doing to sit guys down? I try to mix speeds and work corners but it just seems to get fouled off no matter what until a hit is made. I usually play on All-Star if that means much.

I just pay attention to the batter's tendencies. See what they're swinging late/early on or if they're reaching for certain pitches. Some games I get rocked and others I breeze through.

I have the direct opposite. I get usually between 8-10 k's but I can't hit a beach ball

I was struggling with pitching then I tried something a little out of the ordinary and it really helped improve my pitching.

-Go to difficulty and set it to Veteran.
-Set pitching style to Classic but keep the Pitch Trail On
-Now pitch by selecting your pitches and not moving the pitch aim/Pitch trail indicator... simply select your pitch and use the either tap or hold to change pitch speeds.

You'll notice that the pitch indicator will sometimes sit in the strike zone (red trail) and other times just outside (blue trail) depending on pitcher confidence. This should help you learn how to use the different pitches and change speeds.

Remember, don't move the pitch trail/cursor.

Last year i had trouble getting K's but this year with the new pitch trail I can easily mess with the batter's eye levels. Try pitching from the same camera view that you hit from to see what the batter is seeing.

my last two games. I was cubs and red soxs.
classic pitch - all-star - I use defensive shifting on every hitter, every single situation.
I take 2-3 hits away from the cpu each game, on avg.

What control thingy are you using? (analog, meter, pulse, classic)

                  Cloud -

This is the most important part for us to know to be able to help you.

Also - All Star is the level when you really need to start thinking about setting up hitters with different speeds/eye levels. I would definitely think about setting your difficulty to Veteran (or Dynamic and working your way up) and learning the basics before upping to All Star.

I have always been right around all star in these games. I think this game just take a little time to get used to and is a little harder then in the past. I have been playing on DD and for the first sever games on just rookie and rookie+ I was having some issues. I even had a game on DD rookie+ with bumgarner where I gave up 7 runs in just 4 innings but now the last sever games I have been doing much better and have now gotten up to all star+.
