That's sad to hear, but I guess we're in a day and age where people just want to get through things faster.

When I play a game of The Show I want to take in everything -- the sights, the sounds, the atmosphere -- and am in no hurry to skip through anything. If I'm honest, that's one of my main motivations for playing this game -- to take in a tv-style of baseball whenever I want. Perhaps a fully unfiltered Broadcast Mode could be a consideration for us un-rushed types somewhere down the road.

I am one of those people who does not like to rush their games when time permits and when time is short, I can always button mash between plays. We have "Fast Play" vs "Broadcast" presentations now and the games could be sped up from "Fast Play" by also using Quick Counts. Perhaps in a future release "Broadcast" presentations would include all animations. I would love to see the full "Take me out to the ball game" sung during the 7th inning stretch. Of course I also acknowledge that I am likely in the minority and if it ever was added, it would need to be defaulted to OFF.

I am all for options to appeal to all consumers, but i also Love the Way Broadcast is currently presented ....

That attitude is not welcome here. That self-entitled stance is what turns companies like SCEA away from the community. I'm willing to bet your request was not ignored. Maybe the issue will be fixed in the next patch; maybe the issue is being worked on right now. Regardless, you're not entitled and that route is unnecessary. Show some respect and appreciation.

I am against the new broadcast style. If you really want the overlays and some of the broadcast features then just hit X in between pitches, it's that easy. I don't see the logic in taking out a feature when you can achieve the same goal by touching one button, taking less than a second to do. Especially when your game is supposedly the most sim sports game on the market.

It didnt work like that last year. Why change it to that way this year? Its terrible. Ill use stanton for example, last year he had a one handed follow through and his stride had a toe tap and he had his signature 2 handed hr swing. If you changed his follow through to two handed he did not lose his toe trap stride. The generic strides dont fit with any kind of normal swing mechanics that players have anyways. Stances, swings and strides need to be the #1 improvement to next years game. That element of the game is starting to fall in line with Madden's terrible running animations that have never been fixed. An even better question is if it is all tied together and cant be changed then why are so many of them messed up to begin with? Your stance team does watch video of the player before mo capping the movements right?

At least I am not the only one. I know there are a lot more who like the true broadcast feel with all the animations. I hope they change that for next year and also revamp the commentating like 2K sports BB game with new announcers.

Well that is all well and good. Completely understand the why and how. I can honestly say that I am disappointed that the option to watch everything is taken out of our hands. If the trend for faster games and less little things continues I guess I will just stay where I am with 15.

Really not trying to be dis respectful or a fire starter. I like having a game take an hour and half. I like all of the little things tied with baseball. We have a save game in progress button if I run out of time. I love that you considered your fans with year to year saves. I appreciate all you have done with this game and I always will. But I stopped playing most FPS because I got tired of paying $60 for a 5-7 hour game. The trend for shorter games is happening I know that. But that does not mean that is the way everyone wants things. I for one want to 100+ hour RPG's, the 20/30 hour adventure games and I sit and play baseball for hours on end. I know that I am in the minority but I am still a fan.

I'm with you. I normally don't mind skipping through some cut scenes, but every so often, I like to let things play out, especially when it's an important game. Having a real-time option would be pretty cool.

The option to keep as is or add all the fluff back in would seem to be the"perfect storm", or am I reading into it all wrong???

I for one hated all the button smashing to skip scenes, which is why I played fast play and missed out on the scenes I wanted to see..... The way it is now is a refreshing pace for me ... Much less button smashing....

It wasn't like this last year, so why the change this year? It basically renders the batting stance editor useless.

Does it have something to do with adding slap and Japanese swings to the editor?

WOW! What a reply! It wasnt broken last year, its broken THIS year. Why are they wrong in the first place? Where is that answer? The follow through should be right in the first place, but if we have to do the work that should have been done then it SHOULD NOT mess up the stride!

I'm against the changes made to presentation. Taking out the throws back to the pitcher or cutscenes in between pitches. I don't like taking a pitch and having the screen refresh to a future point. It's hardly button "smashing". If button smashing is hitting one button every 30 seconds than every game is a button masher these days.
