Advice? I give up almost no hits except for homers.

In my online matches, I'm playing pretty decent games. I rarely give up runs.

But I keep losing due to me giving up a couple of random homers throughout games. My pitcher's BB/9 stats aren't that bad either.

Advice on pitching placement strategy to avoid this?

Keep the ball down and away from the middle of the plate, especially when you have two strikes on them. Once you get that second strike they're more likely to chase something out of the zone. And if they're hitting homers off you in early counts its more than likely off of a fastball so locating the fastball early in the count is important as well.

Need more info. What pitches are they hitting out? Location? Guys with power?

Mostly high fast ball/cutters anywhere. I never throw down the middle of the plate. Probably 80% of them are off extremely high in the zone fast pitches. Like borderline balls in the top of the strike zone.

The guys I'm getting homered by are all over the place in terms of power. Pitchers, weak contact hitters, power hitters, they all are teeing off on me every game.

Are you a righty or lefty ? If your a righty getting hammered by righty's then sliders and cutters low and away are your best friend. Lefty getting hammered by righty's 2seam FB's low and away or circle changes low and away are great pitches

You have to pitch to each hitters weaknesses but overall the high fastball while hard to hit will fly out vs something burried to the bottom of the zone.

I think online vs. human is quite a bit different from playing against CPU.

It also depends on which mode you are playing. Is it Online Rated or Diamond Dynasty?

                Diamond Dynasty against humans.

I rarely give up homers, 100% pitch location is what it comes down too. Using my baseball knowledge and previous high school pitching knowledge to locate pitches. I probably throw 4-5 high fastballs a came. And its after a set up skip breaking ball or low changeup. and when I do through a high fastball, it is usually up and in, barely nipping the zone or out of it completely. The computer will chase this pitch a lot, and most online players don't have much plate discipline. I throw probably 70% curveballs online play, call me a cheeser, but it gets the job done.

I always have had trouble getting braun out since I can remember. So many times I recall him driving a changeup low and a way 410+ feet.

This year its Wil Myers. No matter the location he always seems to hit me hard. Online play I will literally intentionally walk him every time if there is 1 to 2 outs with no one on.

                  All about location.
