League ERA too low in season mode?

Anyone else having issues with CPU offense in the game? I'm about 65 games into season mode on Dynamic Difficulty (ranging from vetern to all star +). It seems league offense is about half a run behind the norm. That may not seem like much, but a huge difference in a team that should be around 4.00 era being at 3.50 era. Or the league leading Dodgers have a team era of 2.51.

Examples of My season vs real life 2014 stats (again, notice most about .5 run difference)

    My Season

    1. La Dodgers- 2.51
    10. Atlanta-3.11
    20.White Sox 3.63
    30.Minn 4.36

    2014 Real Life Season

    1.Washington 2.98
    10.Kansas City 3.51
    20. Phily 3.81
    30. Colorado 4.86

Things arent going to be exactly the same. The same things arent happening they way they did last year people are comparing past and present real world results way too much. there are too many variables that happen in the run of any season..injuries, break out stars, computer programming, year to year variance. The best thing to do is accept the video game world is different from the real MLB world. Its not a recreation simulation system, its a game for a wide variety of people to have fun.

I mostly agree with this, but I think the problem might be resolved for many people if they began working on some type of simulation engine sliders.

I've said before I think their sim engine is the best I've ever seen in a video game. It's truly driven by the ratings themselves instead of artificially keeping statistics in predetermined ranges. I had a 2013 roster where I set all ratings to zero and the results were quite interesting to say the least.

Consequently, problems people have noted in the past with increasing/decreasing offense through their franchise years is a result of the rookie ratings generated (as many have noted), not with the sim engine directly.

With this in mind, simulation engine sliders could simply globally edit certain ratings, but only for simmed games.

I, too, see very low ERAs this year in my franchise run, but as MLB Bob stated, there could be many reasons for this. Batting averages look normal to me so far, so the lower ERAs in the sim engine could be a result of fewer walks or home runs, better defense, or a combination of a number of factors. If you can isolate a specific cause, you can go through the tedious process of changing a specific rating for all players, but you'd have to edit the incoming rookies after each season.

It would be much easier if we had global ratings editing and simulation engine sliders, IMO.

It's the trend of MLB. Offense has been dropping every year for awhile now and until MLB does something to address it the trend will continue. All the show can do is assume it will.
