Analog PCI Hitting - Anyone Else Hooked?
Glad I got back into this mode of hitting. It's definitely more challenging and I tend to lose more games. The advantage of it from an old fart's point of view is it keeps me focused into the game. I feel more involved, like realistic hitting than with timed hitting. It's a test of reflex that sometimes gives me re-flux. I feel like I'm improving my hand-eye coordination. Maybe i can improve with age.Steelers, Penguins, Penn State, Pirates, Red Sox, Manchester United.Tags: None -

Yeah, I prefer it. It annoyed me when I timed a swing perfectly but the CPU would incorrectly place the PCI, resulting in a pop-up.
Especially online, it's a godsend. Most players have a set pattern to how they pitch. After 3 innings, I check their global pitches and see where they are throwing the ball most.
Then I camp the PCI either down, center, or up depending on where they throw most and wait for a pitch in that zone to crush.
It's drastically improved my hitting numbers, compared to directional where I have to protect the entire strike zone and am prone to bite on borderline balls. -

Agree I don't even use directional hitting influence any more. I feel like I have control if I want to go opposite way. I now feel the value of taking a pitch and appreciate hitting a pop up because I know why and where I missed and that I influenced it.Steelers, Penguins, Penn State, Pirates, Red Sox, Manchester United.Comment

Re: Analog PCI Hitting - Anyone Else Hooked?
I've always used Analog PCI Hitting in my RTTS in every version. I've tried the others, but I keep going back to it. I was thinking of trying directional hitting for a bit, but haven't gotten around to it. This post just makes me want to try directional hitting less.Last edited by kilmar1; 04-28-2015, 11:13 AM.Comment
