Tip to get the batter walkup?

Has anyone found a way to get the batter walkup to work with 15? They seem to have cut it out about 50% of the time, especially after replays.

It's minorly annoying as a missed presentation feature, but a bigger issue is at times not knowing who is batting, and certainly missing their stat overlays for the season.

I'm in Broadcast play, so I should be seeing them

Is this a bug or just an oversight?

I feel your pain...but I believe it isn't a bug or an oversight...I think it was a decision made by the SCEA team to speed up the game. I think of it as a hybrid between Broadcast and Fast Play, which is unfortunate as I loved the old Broadcast "drawn out" style of play.
I have reserved about 5% hope that some of these things presentation wise are bugs or changes that can be patched.
The remaining 95% is too pre-occupied enjoying the awesome game that it is, no question.

Wait a minute, this isn't the same thing as SCEA taking out some of the foul ball scenes to speed up the game. Walkups with stats are still there, but they changed up the presentation on them a bit to break up the monotony over the course of the game. Sometimes they'll appear after the first pitch of an at-bat now instead of before the batter steps in.

As long as you're not X-mashing through the first post-pitch scene, you should still be seeing them.

If you have fast play on it reduces them, also there is an option to turn batter walkups on or off in the gameplay options.

In one of the streams Ramone and crew talked about not showing every walkup but the hitters stats would still be shown.
My understanding was that when a batters walkup is skipped there stats would be shown after the 1st pitch provided he didn't get out or get a hit.
This is how it works for cpu hitters as i always see there stats displayed after the 1st pitch but even when i take the 1st pitch i often don't get my hitters stats shown, i often get a shot of the pitcher if it is a strike and don't think they are ever shown after i foul off a ball.

exactly. I faced a batter yesterday (literally didnt know who it was since its a team I dont face much)...didnt get the batter walkup, and he fouled the first pitch which automatically X's you through the presentation, and on the next pitch he singled...so it never gave me the overlay.

It's not a huge deal...I have learned to call for time if I am playing as the offense and want to see who the batter is, or just pause the game to see the stats and everything. Kind of funny that an effort from them to speed up the game actually slows it down for me.

I was playing a Show live game today and whenever a hitter didn't get a walkup matty V would say the batters stats(avg,HR,RBI) after the 1st pitch, even when the osd didn't show.
I don't get this/haven't heard it in my franchise and haven't heard it when i have played Show live game's before,it was the 1st and only time i have heard this in any of the games i have played in 15.

Maybe a audio bug, anyone else heard it/knew it was in the game.
