Signing draft picks?

Can you only sign your draft picks to 1 year deals? When I went in to sign my guys it wouldn't let me scroll the years. The salary would go up or down but not the years. I was just curious if maybe it was just the players I drafted only wanted 1 year deals and I was just unlucky.

Also if you do sign them when can you assign them to the minors? The off-season? Or can I release some of my guys before hand to open up some spots?

You can only do 1 year deals while they are in the minors. You'll be able to see them on your roster in the offseason and move them around like normal after that.

Ok cool thank you. I was hoping I could play with them right away I landed a couple stud prospects in my offline braves franchise. Oh well ill have to wait til season 2.

So, there's no way to see how I did with my picks (ratings, etc.) until AFTER the season?

I think that we were able to see them right after the draft in the past, correct?

Once you're done with all of the games on the day of the draft and move onto the next day, you can sign your draftees under the "League" tab (in the same place you sign FA's). In the draft pick signing screen, you can see their ratings.
