RTTS - created a new one, I want your opinion about it

I am basically new in MLB - RTTS. In fact I just started in 14 with my new PS4 (jumped from Xbox, 360). Anyhow, last year and this year, I experienced three things in my different RTTS:

    1. Breezing AA, AAA to MLB - only ending up sitting most of the game, or at times as PR or DH for one inning. I think it is just a waste of time being in the roster instead of "developing" in AAA so by next season, my RTTS player will be ready for MLB.

    2. Coming to MLB too late - meaning played few games to have the chance to win Rookie of the year or even be on top 3 list.

    3. Coming to MLB too early - meaning my player is not that qualified, based on the training and attributes to play in the major, IMO.

SO what I did with this new RTTS, playing 2B is really fun for me, have a new "house rules".

    1. All gained points will be applied ONLY after All Star breaks (or should I do it every Spring training?) - I mean, is it really realistic to have someone improved like +20 pts in a year?

    2. If I needed to improve my attributes, I will only apply +1 so that my player will not regress and at the AS break or Spring Training, I will put all the earned training points into effect.

What you think? I need your inputs before I go further. Thanks.

I like the idea you got there. If I were you, I would do it both after spring training before the season, and at the all star break. 2 times a year will definitely not allow your player to progress too unrealistically.

Yes definitely after Spring training and I am still thinking after All Star, because you cannot grow that quickly in 1 week of rest. Perhaps whatever points I have ill just take the 25% of that and apply it after AS break and the rest during/after Spring training.

Your logic is sound and I think 2 times a year is the right idea. Of course you will still improve gradually every couple months or so because you have to protect yourself from losing overall. That said a promotion to the Majors is also based on what you've done in the minors. You can still get called up even if your overall is terrible if you've played really well. Just keep that in mind.

Another recommendation, since the difficulty scales for each league (if you have difficulty set to all star, it will be veteran in AA, AS in AAA, and HOF in MLB), set your desired difficulty to be consistent throughout. So if you want to play HOF throughout all levels, set it to Legend in AA, HOF in AAA, and All-Star in MLB...this will slow down your progress considerably.

Yes before All-Star, i got 0.475Ave, 3 HR, 32 RBI, 12 SB, 20 Runs. So I was voted to play as Starter in All-Star. After that, I applied 1000 pts to RContact, Rpower, speed and steal, plate vision and batting base. I got promoted right away to MLB without passing to AAA. At least I got 92 games to play as 2B starter for Braves.
