At first I thought the frame rate was way better too, but after awhile the same cutscene issues are prevalent. It still seems like it's a marginal improvement over 14, but not way better. It's hard thing to quantify on consoles.

But yeah, on the whole I'd say 15 looks 200% better than 14. Definitely not worse.

I agree with this comment 100 percent.

The biggest offender is when they show a cutscene at second base after a runner steals. It was the same in 14. The framerate plummets and the shadows are jaggies as hell. That's about the only time I see an issue in 15 though. In 14 it was almost every cutscene. So it's not perfect imo but better.

Overall, I'd say the game looks better. The lighting is superb this year. I really like how they made the sun move according to the time of year.

Even MLB14 says MLB15 looks better.

While it's better than MLB 14, it's not on pair with other sport simulation games. Performance wise is average. Btw, it's a good looking game but it deserves a lot more optimization and new assets.

I believe there are more bugs in MLB 15 than there ever was in MLB 14. features that worked fine in MLB 14 either don't work in MLB 15 or they were completely removed from the game. But from a visual stand point, MLB 15 is simply outstanding. I love the new dynamic season and time lighting and the stadiums look fantastic. I just finished a weekend series against the Padres where I visited Petco Park for the first time, and this stadium looks so much better this year than it did last year. Of course it is SCEA's home stadium, so they have plenty of opportunities to see it in person and transfer what they see in person into the game.

Disappointed in all the bugs, not disappointed at all with the visuals.

Pro Evolution Soccer is 60 fps ( during gameplay ) and with a new graphic engine. Fifa is 60 fps, Nba 2K is 60 fps, NHL is 60 fps, EA UCF is 30 fps but rock solid and with the best graphic engine ever seen in a simulation. MLB 15 is between 20-30 fps most of the time, nowdays is not acceptable. It needs at least 30 fps ( stable with no drops ).

Not sure what "jaggies" or "anti-aliasing" is sounds above my pay grade lol, but this game looks and feels amazing compared to '14 IMO... Great work SCEA!

I would love to know how you have managed to gauge the FPS in all of these games other then simply going on assumptions and what someone else may have said which still leaves zero proof. There is not a single article I have seen saying the FPS in the show is lower than 60. I have seen absolutely zero frame drops or had really any sort of significant tearing either.

I would put money on it never dropping even close to 30 fps.

The Show may have some issues, visuals is not one. I will not claim it the best looking game and have no clue what the FPS is nor do I care. I have no frame rate issues.

Here is the honest strait up truth.

FIFA is okay, the game plays well and is a ton of fun. Some aspects look amazing. Kits look rubber still, even on PS4. On old counsels they looked so unreal it drove me crazy. The tight jerseys when one zooms out become same length as the others, though this is minor compared to the vulcanised issue. The collision animations are finally good which is a huge plus. Without patches it is absolutely unplayable every year since like 11 or maybe 12. Glitches like feet disapearing and stuff is gag worthy.

Pro Ev Soccer, for one is called soccer when most the world who is good at the game calls it football. That was a joke mostly, well kinda. The game is by far the worst graphics of any major sports release. If you zoom out far enough to actually play it, in my opinion it looks like a Nintendo game. As far as play goes and strategy it is brilliant and zoomed in looks pretty awesome. The Lack of license makes it a no go for me. Combine it and FIFA and you have a great game. Seperate they are two good games both play wise and graphics wise.

NBA 2K is an oddity to me and probably the best all around sports game. That said, I am not a basketball fan and therefore am not that into it. The graphics are great but best part is the commentary. One graphic issue is that again jerseys look really weird. They hang on players wrong and are outdated in fit style. Even when the NBA had baggier jerseys they still hung on people like clothes not cardboard suites.

NHL wins graphically to me. Only game that could be visually mistaken for the real thing. Play wise not sure, never played it but have watched friends and family play and graphics are best I have seen.

The Show plays like the best true sports sim. My opinion. It is stunning with some areas less stunning. The players interaction with infield dirt could improve. They should learn from NBA2k and have real player profile images transfer from team to team and it not become a computer graphic one. The should keep uniforms looking like cloth though unlike FIFA and NBA 2K. The stat system is embarrassing for a game which has followers who are stat junkies. Though I believe this will improve and it is okay until then.

Madden looks good from youtube have not played or seen 15. Thus have no mire to say.

I love all these games. (excluding madden which I do not know since I have not played it) The Show is by far my favourite. It holds my attention the longest and the graphics are on par. I will say this, oddly on a crappy tv 14 seemed to look better but on our good tv 15 is by far better.

When sports games look like games like the Best of other genres then we will have something!

OP, I respectfully disagree. Though not perfect, MLB 2015 looks better in every way than 2014.

Sure, there's always room for improvement. IMO the game due for a brand new engine, or complete graphical/animation overhaul, which I'm not counting on until the PS3 version is dropped. But I still think it looks great now.

Looking at the first base coach's box, I count 7 "steps" in the chalk outline in both screenshots. Looks like anti-aliasing is the same to me.
