Correct me if I'm wrong, but if I throw to the cutoff man, and the cutoff man throws a baserunner out at a base, both myself and the cutoff man should be credited with an assist, right?

Because the game does not record them this way. And it's really hard to win Gold Gloves as an outfielder without a ridiculously inflated assist total. In real life it's extremely rare for outfielders to get 15+ assists in a season, in my RTTS Adam Jones and multiple other guys do it every single season. I could maybe keep pace with them if I received credit on cutoff throws.

Yes, you are correct- you should along with the cutoff man. The put-out goes to the guy tagging.

In the game your only assist comes if you throw directly into the putout at the base.

So has anyone ever brought this up to the devs, and if so, have they indicated they will fix it?

Jason Heyward (currently on the Red Sox) has 14 assists in CF already... and it's early June. Cespedes led the majors last season in OF assists with 16.
