    This made my night.

Yesterday, I continued my franchise, to try and slog through an offday for the Sox.

    That's when the impossible occurred.

It's a four minute clip, and despite it looking like it's going to keep going and force me to reset, it does eventually resolve itself.

I had a few drinks to this point, so I already think most everything is hilarious, but this absolutely made me lose it. It was the weirdest thing to ever happen to me in the Show.

Below is a video showing what happened to the baseball (because I had no clue where it went when the play was actually happening).

I hope this makes someone else's night as well. Hilarious.

LOL, that is pretty funny. Freddie Gonzales was like 'forget that, gimme the lefty' lol.

Glad to see you taking it in stride, and not letting it ruin your mood. Things happen, and there's comedy to be found sometimes.

I bet it was pretty trippy as it was happening.

You have no idea, my first thought when this happened was "oh crap, I broke the game, didn't I?"

Then my second thought was "I wonder what I can do..."

So I push pause, and see the game isn't frozen, it just doesn't know what to do right now, for whatever reason (it was a foul ball, but the foul ball went through the game, and presumably, if the game can't tell if something is fair or foul, like what the out of game world bounds are, it rules the ball fair).

So then I get to thinking, if the ball isn't foul, then it must be fair, and try having my guys run. And strangely enough, they do. I can even get them to cross home plate a few times (I'm not sure how the game logic'd that one out, I'd be legitimately curious to hear an explanation for why this bit was happening).

Eventually, I work out that I'm not going to stop until the game fixes itself (since most of the time, it'll either crash or do something to otherwise resolve the issue). I have fun with it, and eventually find a way to get my player to go from home to first, which somehow solves the issue.

It was the most bizarre thing that I may have experienced in any sports game ever.

I can't let it hurt my mood, because I've played the Show for years, (ever since it became a brand). I've owned every the Show game, played thousands of games each year, and never, not once, have I ever had this exact thing happen.

I know it's not supposed to happen, but when something amazes me, it's hard to pass it up. I love being surprised.

In the end, it didn't affect me much. I won the game (like 10-4 or so, so the one run I gained had no actual effect on the outcome), didn't lose any data, and got a fun video I can share with people to get a laugh themselves. It all worked out.

I nearly spit out my chocolate milk....this is hilarious!

It's like the game was on DVR and the Braves were paused. Once you scored and seen it counted, they told each other.."Hm..maybe they won't notice if we run back and round the bases again for more runs."

I laughed harder than I have laughed in the last week watching this. It sucks that it happened, and I hope it doesn't happen to me. But it was very funny.

              that was funny.
It made me think of the movie Bull Durham when they turn the sprinklers on to get a rain out and then slid thru the mud.

I love that while the pitcher doesn't move his body, his head still follows the ball up then down.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

                    Re: This made my night.

A pure fantasy squad of my favorite players (It's a shame some of them aren't performing though... no matter what I try) under 30 team control. I basically picked 25 of my favorite players and reserved them in a fantasy draft, and tried to pick fairly for each of the other teams to make it competitive, while not at the same time. (Last year when I did something similar, with the exception of my team, almost all 29 other teams were within 5 games of each other, and equally skilled, and I had something like 5 tiebreaker games between both leagues to determine playoff spots.)

                    SP - King Felix/Chris Sale/Jose Fernandez/Stephen Strasburg/Max Scherzer
                    RP - Andrew Miller/Tony Cingrani/Rex Brothers/Charlie Furbush/Andrew Bailey/one other guy whose name escapes me
                    CP - Craig Kimbrel/Jonathan Papelbon

C - Yadier Molina/Peter O'Brien (surprisingly really nice player to hit as with the OSFM roster)
                    1B - Paul Goldschmidt/Anthony Rizzo
                    2B - Dustin Pedroia
SS - Xander Bogaerts (currently hitting below .200/.260/.340)
                    3B - Anthony Rendon/Kris Bryant
                    OF - Hanley Ramirez/Mike Trout/Bryce Harper/Billy Hamilton
